Capsule Description
Tetsuro Hoshino is a young orphan who dreams of avenging the death of his mother, who was killed by the sinister Count Mecha. To aid in his quest for vengeance he seeks out a pass for the intergalactic train, the Galaxy Express 999, in order to acquire a mechanical body through any means. One day when on the run from the police he encounters Maetel, a woman who resembles his mother, together they set out on a journey to the stars.
