Capsule Description
Two girls get transported to an alternate dimension a lot like ancient China, in which they become the priestesses of the divine beasts Seiryuu and Suzaku, then travel around the world with their 7 guardians in order to summon their divine beast first and bring prosperity to their kingdom. Eventually turns into romantic drama (as evidenced above), with Miaka the priestess of Suzaku falling in love with her guardian Tamahome.
Fushigi Yuugi has been called in club "a good 26 episode show that got stretched out into 52 episodes".
Was mentioned in the VGcats comic lampooning Inuyasha
