- Magical Matt has a Deep and Abiding Love for heating and ventilation systems.
- Magical Matt has been observed to have Questionable taste in his choice of heroes. The Researchers refer specifically to Jubal Early, a character in the Television series Firefly. Jubal Early, it should be noted, is a Space Criminal who partakes frequently in Space Assault And Battery, Space Kidnapping, and probable Space Rape. Magical Matt has allegedly stated that he wishes to be "just like him".
- Magical Matt has allegedly accosted two upstanding young ladies in the dark of night. These two women, who are rumored to be influential members of Minna No Anime, claim Magical Matt leapt out of a white van and shouted at them. Magical Matt has, at different points in time, either expressed remorse for this incident or denied its existence entirely. Regardless, he has occasionally been referred to as Magical Mugger Mikoto or Magical Reformed Mugger Mikoto since that time.
