The Atascadero Japanese Animation Society (or AJAS) was a club not associated with any other organization that was held in the Atascadero Library on Saturdays. According to a resume found in Google Cache, Robyn Anderson founded the club in 1996, and was a member until 2001. While Minna no Anime focuses mostly on Anime, AJAS members used to get together for gamming sessions and such during their meetings. As both clubs held their meetings at roughly the same time, very few people actually attended both clubs.

In 2000, with Mark Salcido as the diplomat from AJAS, Minna no Anime and AJAS held the very first annual joint Halloween Party. AJAS members showed up for several years after that, though many members were unaware of this.

Now AJAS is apparently a defunct group. Their web page no longer exists on the web any more.
