[Minna no Manga] First Thursday Incoming! 10/1/15
Greetings Everyone!
Glad to see a lot of new faces this past Saturday, and some familiar ones. Hopefully the trend will continue for this Thursday, which is the first meeting
of the quarter for Minna no Manga!
Minna no Manga is going to be held this week in the English Building, 22-212, which you can find directions
to here (I know Google says those directions are leading you to the Ag building, they're attached by a hallway!).
We'll be in a different room starting next week, so be sure to read next week's email as well. The manga room is
also listed on our site for quick reference.
Minna no Manga is the place for you, other people who you know from Minna no Anime, and whoever you can drag along to play board games,
hang out, do homework, and the like. Last year I would routinely see people playing such games as KanColle, Dominion,
and Weiss Schwartz, but we'll see what this year holds!
See ya there!

[Minna no Manga] ROOM CORRECTION 10/1/15
Hello Everyone!
Our room for Manga today (10/1/15) was double-booked, so we're now in the Agriculture Building, room 10-115.
Hope to see you there!

[Minna no Anime] Saturday Meeting 2: Electric Boogaloo 10/3/15
TL;DR: This Saturday is Minna. Football is happening, so parking is #sketchy. If you didn't get the Manga email,
you've got to switch mailing lists at the bottom of this email to get the weekly emails. Vote for the Simulcast!
Greetings, Everyone!
This Saturday is Minna no Anime's second meeting of the quarter! This Saturday is also Cal Poly's second home football game
of the quarter! Minna veterans know what that means: a conspicuous shortage of parking spaces! I hear tell that in the past
there was often parking open around the library, near the math building, near Fisher Science, and near the Admin building,
but with the construction in the PAC parking lot, who knows. It might not be a bad idea to show up a tad early to make sure
that you get to club on time.
Also! If you did not get the Manga email earlier this week, that means that you are not on the weekly email list. In order
to get on the weekly email list, you can adjust your settings by following the link at the bottom of the email.
Lastly, the voting is now up for the Simulcast here! We're watching the first episode of something in the first slot of the
evening, you can vote on which show that should be!
SHOW SCHEDULE:
5:10 PM - Simulcast of the Week (VOTE FOR IT ABOVE)
5:35 PM - Last Exile - 02
6:10 PM - Haikyuu!! - 02
6:35 PM - Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - 02
7:00 PM - 1 HOUR DINNER BREAK WOOOH (Contains re-showing of Neon Genesis Evangelion - 01 @ 7:30 PM)
8:05 PM - Taisho Baseball Girls - 02
8:30 PM - Your Lie in April - 02
9:05 PM - Tiger and Bunny - 02
9:30 PM - Neon Genesis Evangelion - 02
See ya there!

Heya kids, it's been awhile. For those of you new to Minna, this space is where I (your secretary) get a chance to
(unofficially) talk about whatever I want to at the end of the email. There's never any especially important info in
here Minna-wise, it's just an opportunity for me to hype up the Monogatari series- I mean share info about my life.
As an example, this week I did pretty well on my first test in CPE 357! Also was hyped about Kizumonogatari announcements!
And wrote emails! And was behind on how my favorite League of Legends team was doing at Worlds! CLG wooh!
I'm in the library right now, and if I turn my head slightly to the left I can see someone else watching Worlds, but
I've got THINGS that I need to DO so it'll be awhile before I can start watching. I'm actually going to stop typing this and
finish up some of my other work so that I can actually maybe watch the games CLG is in before I have to fake my way through
another conversation started about it when somebody notices my CLG jacket. Cheers!
[Minna no Manga] Press 2 for Thursday 10/8/15
TL; DR: Minna no Manga is Thursday @ 6-10 PM in 10-115, vote for the Simulcast, Halloween party is coming up
October 31st from 10 AM - 10 PM.
Greetings Everyone!
Another week, another Thursday. Minna no Manga will be held in Agriculture Building 10 room 115, which is going to be our
regular room for the rest of the quarter. As always, we'll be in the room from 6 PM-10 PM. Coincidentally, 10-115 was the
room we crashed last Thursday, so if you were at Manga last week, just go back to the same room! If you're into the whole
playing board games/hanging out with cool anime peeps scene you should totally show up! We're always excited to see new people.
Also, vote for this Saturday's simulcast! As Smokey the Bear basically almost says: "Only you can decide what we're watching."
Additionally, coming up on October 31st from 10 AM -10 PM is the annual Minna no Anime Halloween Party! There'll be Anime Eyes,
Anime Trivia, a Cosplay Contest, a Video Game Tournament, a Pumpkin Carving Contest, and more! The other officers and I are
hard at work preparing for this and it's shaping up well, so be sure to show up! A more in-depth email about the
Halloween Party with event descriptions, information on prizes, and event sign-up links will be sent out in the
next week or so, so look out for that!
See you Thursday!

Warning, Personal Opinions Below.
So first of all, holy shit the first episode of Owarimonogatari lived up to the hype. Probably among the best 48 min
I've spent in my life. The insane amounts of creepiness and charisma that Ougi was putting out the whole episode moved
her up into among my favorite characters out of anything. If you've watched and enjoyed any of the previous Monogatari
seasons, it's so worth catching up. Of course, I tried to talk to the VP about the episode and he seemed to rate it meh/10 so
YMMV. I shouldn't have really been surprised though, we've always had very different opinions on the franchise. Oh, and
NisiOisiN announced new Monogatari LNs. OH YEAH AND WHEN I TYPED UP THE LAST MESSAGE THE FACT THAT THERE WERE GOING TO
BE THREE KIZUMONOGATARI MOVIES HADN'T BEEN ANNOUNCED YET. WOOH KIZU!
Aight, Monogatari fangirling over for now.
Other things I've been doing this week: Uh, I did recruiting pitches for Minna on both YikYak (someone asked about
anime club, I replied) and Tinder (swiping with a profile pic of Holo from Spice and Wolf is just asking to get recruited
for anime club :p), so that was pretty fun. Also I'm relatively on top of things for CPE 357, which is good.
Plus I think my project for work is going to be ~20% as expensive as initial projections indicated, which is
excellent. Anyways, that's all for now. I'll see y'all later!
[Minna no Anime] Tomorrow is Saturday! 10/10/15
TL;DR: Minna is Saturday, we're on episode 3 of everything. Vote for the simulcast. Halloween Party is
coming, more details about it will come to your email.
Greetings, Everyone!
Tomorrow is Saturday, and you know what that means: MINNA NO ANIME! We've got a bunch of great shows lined up you
tomorrow, each of them being episode 3. In case you were wondering, these episodes do not include Revenge of the Sith.
Minna No Anime will never do a screening of episode three of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. As always, we'll be in
"The Silo" (03-213) from 5 PM - 10PM.
There is of course one show that will not be an episode 3, which is this week's simulcast. You get to decide
what that is, by voting HERE!

Warning, Personal Opinions Below.
My favorite team got knocked out of the LoL world championships *sniff*. Ah well, at least there's always next season.
In what time I've managed to find in my schedule for mental health breaks I ended up watching a couple episodes of Golden
Time this week. It's a romcom show from the same creator as Toradora, except that I actually like the character that's
shaping up to be the primary love interest. I'm also fond of the fact that the characters are actually in college, it's a
really underutilized setting in anime, IMO, and they've already made good use of it in the first four episodes. There's
one trope revealed to be prominent in the show that I'm not fond of, but all in all I'm giving the show my tentative approval thus far.
Anyways, gotta work on some stuff for Minna and CPE 357, so I'll see you guys Saturday!

Oct. 31, email to follow. Vote for the simulcast!
Greetings everyone!
I hope you all had a splendiferous weekend and a slightly above average earlier this week. If the first chunk of weekdays has
been less than wonderful, I have good news for you: Minna no Manga is this Thursday! Well, Minna no Manga is this Thursday from
6-10 PM in 10-115 regardless of how your week's been, but I figured I'd let the people with the worse week hear about it first.
They deserve something nice.
Other things!
Minna no Anime will not be in the Silo this week. Due to scheduling conflicts, for this Saturday and the next (10/17 & 10/24)
we'll be watching anime in the Fisher Science Building, (Building 33 Room 286). Our discussion room will be in 33-287 for the next
two weeks as well. Room 286 is the room with the double doors next to the vending machine. Fisher Science is one of those buildings
where the second floor seems like it's the ground floor, so don't let the room number fool ya! For veteran Minna-goers, it's also the
room where we had the Halloween Party last year.
Speaking of Halloween Party! Coming up on October 31st from 10 AM - 10 PM is the annual Minna no Anime Halloween Party! There'll be
Anime Eyes, Anime Trivia, a Cosplay Contest, a Video Game Tournament, a Pumpkin Carving Contest, and more! This year the
party will be once again in the Business Building (We're using rooms 03-112, 03-113, 03-114, and 03-213). My next action as
soon as I finish drafting this email is to start drafting a Halloween Party email with more information about it, so
more information about it is on the rather near horizon.
Parking is potentially wonky for the next couple of weekends, due to a men's soccer game this coming Saturday, and
another football game the Saturday after. I hear tell that in the past there was often parking open around the
library, near the math building, near Fisher Science (convenient), and near the Admin building, but with the construction
in the PAC parking lot, who knows. It might not be a bad idea to show up a tad early to make sure that you get to club on time.
And as always...Vote for this week's simulcast!

Good news everyone!
We're nearing the end of the week, and you know what that means... You should go get something to eat! People need nutrition
to live. And where better to eat than the dinner break of Minna no Anime this Saturday! You can start building up an appetite
at 5 PM, where we're going to be starting by watching a simulcast that you pick. Maybe based on food?
Important thing to note, Minna no Anime will not be in The Silo this week. We'll be in the Fisher Science Building,
(Building 33 Room 286), with the discussion room being in room 287 in the same building. Room 286 is the room with the
double doors next to the vending machine, and is on what's effectively the ground floor by the Admin Building parking lot.

Warning, Personal Opinions Below
Firstly, Owarimonogatari Episode 2 was kind of disappointing compared to the first episode, but it set up for something cool.
We'll see how it goes, I have faith. Speaking of faith, I'm thinking about starting a count of the amount of crosses in
Evangelion, it's ridiculous. Other things about this week: I realized don't have enough time to get everything I need to do between
MnA officer commitments, my job, and my classes done, so I'm constantly trying to decide what thing I'm going to let drop behind.
So that kind of sucks, but my boss told me I could recruit a helper for work, so that should hopefully go better. During study breaks
I've been catching up on Alan Tudyk's Con Man series. Highly recommended for anyone who likes Firefly, Felicia Day, or
comedies about geek culture. Anyways, hope to see you guys next week!
Minna no Halloween approaches!
Greetings Everyone!
It's that time of year again. Pumpkins are appearing in grocery stores, candy is getting seasonal orange packaging, and
I start wondering about the proper holiday classification of "The Nightmare Before Christmas". That's right, it's Halloween time!
As returning Minna members know, the Halloween Party is Minna no Anime's biggest event of the year, an all-day festival of
Minna awesomeness on October 31st! It'll be in the business building (Rooms 03-112, 03-113, 03-114, and 03-213) from 10 AM - 10 PM.
Rather than our usual gig of watching anime, our Halloween Party is an opportunity for all of us that love anime to compete in
various events related to anime, for fun and (if you're a paid member) prizes! Here's the descriptions for the events we're putting on this year:
CONTESTS:
Anime Eyes:
The goal of this event is to accurately guess an anime character by looking at a pixelated image of them. The longer the image
is displayed on-screen, the less pixelated the image gets, and the easier it is to guess. Each character you correctly identify nets
you a certain amount of points, the more the character is pixelated when you guess it the more points it's worth! You can guarantee
yourself a spot in one of the rounds here or sign up on the spot!
Anime Trivia:
Similar to Jeopardy, but anime-themed. Whether you're aiming to win the entire thing or you're just curious about what's in store,
answering these anime trivia questions will test your wits and memory like nothing else. You can guarantee yourself a spot in
one of the rounds here or sign up on the spot!
Video Game Tournament:
Come test your video-game playing skills in a tournament for a game carefully selected to be something that no one is actually
good at going in. This year we've picked STARWHAL, America's #1 local multi-player space narwhal fighting game. There's like
90 narwhal costumes in it! You can guarantee yourself a spot in one of the rounds here or sign up on the spot!
Pumpkin Carving:
Carve a pumpkin with some sort of image that you think Minna people will enjoy! Winners determined by popular vote. Images of
you with a pumpkin you've carved this year also acceptable, but the actual physical pumpkin is greatly preferred. We're on
Halloween this year so the pumpkins should actually have some structural integrity!
Cosplay Contest:
Come show off your cosplay! Whether you're dressed as a character from anime, manga, or something else entirely, we'd love
to see you compete! Homemade costumes only please. It also helps us a lot if you bring a reference picture for your character
so we can compare you with the person you're cosplaying as! This category is among those determined by popular vote.
Art Contest:
Submit a piece of anime-related art that you're proud of, and we'll determine by popular vote which one appeals to the largest
portion of club members. 2D Art only please! You can bring in a print, bring it in on a flash drive, or send it in with your name
as a reply to this email.
Prizes:
Each event we have in our Halloween Party schedule has a prize attached to it. Any paid member of Minna is eligible to win
these. Minna membership costs are $5 a quarter or $10 for the year. If you'd like to compete in the contests, but don't want any
of the prizes, talk to one of the current officers so we know to take you out of the judging!
As well as a prize for first place in each of the events above, you can also compete for a grand prize! The winner of the grand
prize is whoever did the best overall throughout Anime Eyes, Anime Trivia, the Pumpkin Carving Contest, the Art Contest and the
Cosplay Contest. The more events you compete in and the better you do in each of them the likelier you are to win the
Without further ado, here are the prizes:
Anime Trivia (1st Place): $30 Right Stuf gift certificate
Anime Eyes (1st Place): $30 Right Stuf gift certificate
Cosplay Contest (1st Place): $30 Right Stuf gift certificate
Video Game Tournament (1st Place): $15 Right Stuf gift certificate
Pumpkin Carving Contest (1st Place): $15 Right Stuf gift certificate
Art Contest (1st Place): $15 Right Stuf gift certificate
Grand Prize (Overall Winner): Two tickets to a fandom-related convention of your choice! We're capping the amount earned for
this prize based on AX ticket costs, (currently $65 a ticket).
Grand Prize (Runner-Up): One ticket to a fandom-related convention of your choice!
IMPORTANT NOTE: You will only earn the largest prize for which you are eligible. The runner-up will get the smaller prize. For
example, if you are the Grand Prize Winner and also won Anime Trivia, the Anime Trivia prize will go to second place in Anime
Trivia, assuming they are not already winning a prize.
OTHER EVENTS:
Karaoke:
Minna no Anime is once again running a karaoke event! This is our annual opportunity for club members past and present to sing
anime OPs and EDs for the amusement of themselves and others. Minna alum Annaliese has not only graciously donated a hard drive for
the purpose of holding anime music for karaoke, but has filled it with songs out of her own personal collection! If you know her
say thanks. The songs we currently have on it can be found here. If you want to sing a song that's not on that list, either
bring it yourself or suggest it here. We'll try our best to get to all suggestions, but no guarantees. Please be specific with your requests!
Food:
When people get hungry we'll be ordering pizza! We'll be selling pizza for $1/slice and soda for 50¢/can.
ROOMS:
We've reserved four rooms for the Halloween Party, all in the Business Building.
03-112: Anime Trivia/ Anime Eyes room
03-113: Hangout/Discussion room. In the past people have also used this room for the trading/gifting of manga and anime.
Last year, a kind soul also brought candy.
03-114: Video Game room. This is where the video game tournament will be held. Feel free to bring your own game setups for
any game you want to coerce people into playing! An officer will be posted in this room to make sure belongings are kept safe.
SCHEDULE:

11:15 AM – Anime Eyes Round 1

Tomorrow is Thursday, and you know what that means. Minna no Manga! As always, Manga will be in building 10-115 from 6 PM -

Important thing to note, Minna no Anime will (once again) not be in The Silo this Saturday. We'll be in the Fisher Science

Parking is once again going to be bad this weekend, this time due to an American Football game! As I understand it, they're going
to be tackling each other and stuff, it doesn't sound very friendly. The problem of parking is further exacerbated by the fact that
this Saturday is also Homecoming and Parent's Weekend. With the big lot by the PAC shut down, it's a perfect storm of no parking.
I hear tell that in the past there was often parking open around the library, near the math building, near Fisher Science (convenient),

[Minna no Manga] The Thursday before the Party 10/28/15
TL;DR: Come to the Halloween Party! Come to Minna no Manga! Sign up for Halloween Party Events!
Greetings Everyone!
Interesting Fact: Thursday is named after the Norse God Thor (pronounced /toːr/). Thor, being humanoid in appearance,
presumably has a skeleton within him. Skeletons are widely known to be spooky, scary, and associated with Halloween. You
know what else is associated with Halloween? Minna no Anime's Halloween Party! A coincidence? I think not!
If you wish to discuss this correlation, Minna no Manga will be meeting at the usual time (6 PM - 10 PM), and the usual place
(10-115). There will also be the board games and good times as usual. There's also a thing going on that will be cool and beneficial
for club and I'm not sure I'm allowed to talk about, so look forward to that if you're going as well.
As previously stated, this Saturday, October 31st, is the annual Minna no Anime Halloween Party! The party lasts from 10 AM - 10 PM,

Halloween email won't find any new information in this one, but the other officers and I thought we'd send it out a near copy of it
again so you guys'll have the information on-hand for tomorrow. If you've signed up for Anime Eyes or Anime Trivia, you should be
receiving an email with your round assignment before 9 PM, October 30th.
The Halloween Party is Minna no Anime's biggest event of the year, an all-day festival of Minna awesomeness This Saturday, October
31st! It'll be in the business building (Rooms 03-112, 03-113, 03-114, and 03-213 "The Silo") from 10 AM - 10 PM. Rather than our
usual gig of watching anime, our Halloween Party is an opportunity for all of us that love anime to compete in various events
related to anime, for fun and (if you're a paid member) prizes! Here's the descriptions for the events we're putting on this year:
CONTESTS:
Anime Eyes:
The goal of this event is to accurately guess an anime character by looking at a pixelated image of them. The longer the image is
displayed on-screen, the less pixelated the image gets, and the easier it is to guess. Each character you correctly identify nets
you a certain amount of points, the more the character is pixelated when you guess it the more points it's worth!
Anime Trivia:
Similar to Jeopardy, but anime-themed. Whether you're aiming to win the entire thing or you're just curious about what's in store,
answering these anime trivia questions will test your wits and memory like nothing else.
Video Game Tournament:
Come test your video-game playing skills in a tournament for a game carefully selected to be something that no one is actually good
at going in. This year we've picked STARWHAL, America's #1 local multi-player space narwhal fighting game. There's like 90 narwhal costumes in it!
Pumpkin Carving:
Carve a pumpkin with some sort of image that you think Minna people will enjoy! Winners determined by popular vote. Images of you
with a pumpkin you've carved this year also acceptable, but the actual physical pumpkin is greatly preferred. We're on Halloween
this year so the pumpkins should actually have some structural integrity!
Cosplay Contest:
Come show off your cosplay! Whether you're dressed as a character from anime, manga, or something else entirely, we'd love to see
you compete! Homemade costumes only please. It also helps us a lot if you bring a reference picture for your character so we can
compare you with the person you're cosplaying as! Digital images on a USB key or via a reply to this email are greatly preferred.
Any paid member of Minna is eligible to win these.
Minna membership costs are $5 a quarter or $10 for the year. If you'd like to compete in the contests, but don't want any of the
prizes, talk to one of the current officers so we know to take you out of the judging!
For example, if you are the Grand Prize Winner and also won Anime Trivia, the Anime Trivia prize will go to second place in Anime
Trivia, assuming they are not already winning a prize.
OTHER EVENTS:
Karaoke:
Minna no Anime is once again running a karaoke event! This is our annual opportunity for club members past and present to sing
anime OPs and EDs for the amusement of themselves and others. Minna alum Annaliese has not only graciously donated a hard drive
for the purpose of holding anime music for karaoke, but has filled it with songs out of her own personal collection! If you know
her say thanks. The songs we currently have on it can be found here.
Food:
When people get hungry we'll be ordering pizza! We'll be selling pizza for $1/slice and soda for 50¢/can.
ROOMS:
We've reserved four rooms for the Halloween Party, all in the Business Building.
03-112: Anime Trivia/Anime Eyes room
03-113: Hangout/Discussion room. In the past people have also used this room for the trading/gifting of manga and anime. Last year,
a kind soul also brought candy.
03-114: Video Game room. This is where the video game tournament will be held. Feel free to bring your own game setups for any game
you want to coerce people into playing! An officer will be posted in this room to make sure belongings are kept safe.

[Minna no Manga] The Thursday After Halloween 11/5/15
TL;DR: Manga is as per usual. Goshi's signups coming soon. Vote for the simulcast!
Greetings Everyone!
Hope y'all had fun at the Halloween Party. I know for myself that I didn't notice that I was there for the whole 12 hours until
the tiredness hit me like a brick at the end of it...
Thursday, as per usual, is Minna no Manga! We're be in 10-115 as per usual, and there'll be the typical assortment of board games,
good company, and laughter. You should come!
The next big thing Minna has coming up is Goshi Dinner! If you're new to club, Goshi's is Minna's traditional end-of-quarter fancy
Japanese dinner. Minna reserves the back room at one of the best Japanese restaurants in town on the Sunday before finals week (12/6/15)
so that club members can have a tasty (final) meeting with friends before heading into the haze of last minute studying and test-taking
that characterizes the last week of the quarter. In order to attend this gathering, you'll need to sign up for it on our website
(There'll be a link in the emails once the sign-up form is up). During the sign-up process, you'll order whatever food you want
through us, and then pay our Club Treasurer (the illustrious Eric Oatey) the price of your meal. We'll order everything in a single
big order and give Goshi's the money we've collected, so that we can get our food much more quickly day-of. It's a pretty slick
system, honed through years of Goshi Dinners. Spots are limited, so signing up as soon as you get the link is an excellent idea.
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!
Cheers,
Curtis
PS: The vote is currently down at time of email sending. I'm attempting to go in and fix it, but if the link doesn't work
when you click on it, it's not your fault.
[Minna no Anime] In Name On Main 11/7/15
TL;DR: Minna no Anime is back in the Silo. Goshi's is coming up. Vote for the simulcast!
Greetings Everyone!
It's been thirteen days since we last saw the anime we're watching in club, and it's been a long break. After all, when we last saw
Taisho Baseball Girls, Hinata and Nozaki were piloting their EVAs in pursuit of the renowned violinist Wild Tiger. I think. Like I
said, it's been a long few days...
We're going to be back in the Silo again for this Saturday's meeting. I'm going to miss the Fisher Science room a bit, but I do enjoy
how it's so much easier to wander around the rows to talk to people in the Silo. As per usual, the meeting will be from 5 PM - 10 PM,
following the schedule towards the bottom of this email. There's also a simulcast to vote for!

RANT:
Warning, Personal Opinions Below
Owarimonogatari picked back up in style. It definitely feels the most tied to Second Season out of the Monogatari things that
have been replaced, which makes sense, given the chronology. Ougi is settling in nicely as one of my favorite characters.
I don't want to get specific because spoilers, but rest assured I'm still hyped every week for the new episode.
Class work has been going pretty well. I think I'm doing fine in CPE 357? It's hard to tell in that class... I have a six-question
multiple-choice survey going out for my English class project. We're proposing an incentivised official Cal Poly carpool system.
The name? Car Poly. I know, right? Oh, and my class on African American speculative fiction is finally back to assigning things
I enjoy after last weekend's Blacula and Blade, so that's good. We're reading Octavia Butler's Fledgling, a vampire story set in
the present day with a protagonist that is black, female, and appears to be about 10 while in fact being in her 50s. It's been
good so far, looking at how her particular brand of vampires interact with race, gender, and consent. I'm about 2/3rds of the way
through and so far I'd recommend it. I'll let you know when I'm finished. Anyways, see y'all Saturday!
Minna no 25th Anniversary!
Hello, fellow Minna members and alumni!
This school year represents a special time for Minna, one that brings fond memories of yesteryear and beyond. Think back to a
time when Minna no Anime used to only meet once a month on Fridays and membership was $1 a year... What a time that was, back in
1991... Wait... 2016 minus 1991 equals... OH MY GOSH
IT'S HERE! The 25th Anniversary of Minna no Anime!!!
You heard me right, folks: Minna no Anime turns 25 in 2016, and what better way to celebrate our club's mid-20s than with a party?
Of course, it's getting closer to the big three-zero, so instead of a 1-day party... we're upping the ante and doing two whole days!
The 25th Anniversary Party will be held Saturday and Sunday, February 6-7, 2016. Wao!
We, the anniversary committee, would like your input about what you want to see at this fantastical celebration of a club with a
long and rich history. What events do you wanna participate in? Do you love Goshi? How many friends can you bring along? Is that date
even a good date for you to go? Do you love Tsurugi?
Leave us feedback at this link to let us know what you wanna see!
In the meantime, my dear Minna friends,
👋Staaaay Freeesh!!👋
[Minna no Manga] Thursday once more 11/12/15
TL;DR: Manga this Thursday, Goshi's still in the works, Vote for the simulcast!
Hey folks!
Thursday. Thursday never changes. Since the dawn of this year, when the officers decided not to change it, Minna no Manga
has been held on one day and one day alone: Thursday. This Thursday is no different. Come to Minna no Manga in 10-115 from 6--10pm
this Thursday for board games, good company, and most likely a mass exodus to Campus Market at 6:07 and then making it back to the
Manga room by the half hour.
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!
Cheers!

Yahallo!
Good news! This Saturday, we're going to be watching anime! We'll be in the Silo from 5 PM - 10 PM. We're going to be watching
an episode each of shows that we've all already been watching! I know, I know, you're thinking there's no way the officers have
figured out what episode you are on in the shows we're watching, even if we happen to pick the right shows. But we know. You're on
episode 7 for all of them! Aha~! I'm right, aren't I? Man, I'm so good at guessing.
Coming up this February is the Minna no Anime's 25th anniversary. To celebrate, a committee of MnA alumni and current members
has been formed in order to give Minna the birthday party it deserves! If celebrating 25 years of Minna no Anime is something
that seems interesting to you, the committee would like your input on what shape this party should take. Is the date okay?
Should there be potluck food with a scavenger hunt? Catered food with karaoke? A combination thereof ?!?!? You can help the committee decide!

"[Minna no Anniversary] Reminder: Complete the Anniversary Survey to Help Us Gauge Interest in the Event
Hello, members of Minna no Anime,
The previous committee secretary has been sacked.
The Minna no 25th Anniversary Committee would like to remind all members to complete the survey that was announced
last week. This survey is being used to gauge interest in the anniversary party and determine attendee numbers for both
Saturday and Sunday, February 6-7, 2016.
If you have already completed the survey, we thank you very much for your contribution. We will take all answers into
consideration so as to make the best experience for all of you and announce such a schedule in the near future.
If you have any questions about the event, please email us at anniversary@minnanoanime.org.
[Minna No Manga] A World in Which the Concept of Thursday does not Exist 11/19/15
TL;DR: Thursday Manga Reminder, Anniversary survey, vote for the Simulcast
Hello Everyone!
Tomorrow is a Thursday during a Cal Poly quarter. We are not in Summer Quarter, nor is this the first Thursday of Fall Quarter.
Therefore, there is Minna no Manga from 6pm-10pm. 10-115 is the room as per usual. To anyone who is reading these emails and hasn't
been showing up to Manga, you should come. It's pretty fun.
The Minna Anniversary Committee wants your opinion on the planned celebration of Minna's 25th Anniversary in February. Interested in
going? Not interested? Want there to be karaoke? Anime Eyes and Trivia? Let them know here!

[Minna no Anime] Saturday 40K 11/21/15
TL;DR: Parking will be impacted on Saturday, Goshi's signups are open (and close in about a week), No post-Thanksgiving meeting,
Weigh in on the Anniversary Party, Vote for the simulcast!
In the grim darkness of the far future there is only anime. Minna no Anime President Isaac sits near-death on a golden throne, the
shining light of his mind telling billions across the galaxy that there will be a Minna no Anime meeting as per usual this Saturday
from 5 PM - 10 PM. The light from his mind is the only thing allowing humanity to navigate the hellish landscape known as attempting
to find parking during a football game. It has directed massive voidships filled with thousands of crew-members around the library,
near the math building, near Fisher Science (convenient), near the Admin building, and away from the American Footballers that fill
the lots of our mighty halls of learning.
Goshi's signups are now open! The Sunday night directly proceeding Final's Week Minna has made a reservation for the back room at
Goshi's, a fancy Japanese restaurant in town. It'll be a night with good food, better company, and loud conversation, and if any of
that interests you, you should sign up here!
Signing up for Goshi's requires a free Minna no Anime forum account, which you can get here. Just click the "register" link and
follow the steps, then follow the link above to get your Goshi's on.
Minna no Anime will not be meeting next weekend (11/28), due to Thanksgiving! We were going to have this whole thing with the
officers and a Thanksgiving pageant and all wear turkey costumes but the whole thing fell through and now we're too embarrassed to
even have an immediately post-Thanksgiving meeting.
Coming up this February is the Minna no Anime's 25th anniversary! To celebrate, a committee of MnA alumni and current members has
been formed in order to give Minna the birthday party it deserves! If celebrating 25 years of Minna no Anime is something that seems
interesting to you, the committee would like your input on what shape this party should take. Is the date okay? Should there be
potluck food with a scavenger hunt? Catered food with karaoke? A combination thereof ?!?!? You can help the committee decide! The
survey also includes an RSVP to help the committee get a rough headcount prior to the event, so please reply if you're going!
The Saturday AFTER that (12/5), is going to be our traditional end of the quarter movie night! For those of you unfamiliar with
Magic Minna Movie (M)Nights®,for the last Saturday meeting of every quarter the schedule changes into a new one. A Super Secret
Cinematic Selection® of an anime movie is placed after the dinner break, with a sampling of the shows we typically watch being
placed being crammed into the first half to make room for it. Bring your friends!
And as always...Vote for the simulcast!

will be at the party. If you don't see something in that list and want to add it to our song repository, please email
anniversary@minnanoanime.org and we'll see if we can get that anime song!
Movie Nights~
We're gonna do a movie!! On Saturday!!! And Sunday!!!! So many movies!!!!! One movie will be at the end of the day on Saturday
(probs 7-10PM), and the other movie will be after Goshi lunch on Sunday (3-5ish PM, diggitydog). But ya see... we want to hear your
thoughts about what movies you like that club has shown throughout the years. Here's the link to let us know what movies you like!!

But wait... if you click on that link, you'll notice that we're also asking questions about Goshi! Which brings me to the next section...
Goshi Lunch on a Sunday (Scandalous!)
Goshi's being really, REALLY generous to us and basically giving us the whole restaurant to ourselves for lunch on Sunday. This
is really special since they're not open on Sundays for lunch! But we wanna make it even more special. We're upping the ante and have
asked Goshi to prepare one of these things for the lunch: buffet, bento boxes or just the regular ol' Goshi menu. But!! We wanna hear
your guys' opinions on the matter - let us know at this link!
Ok. Ok. So, I've written all the events that the current secretary's writing, but now I'm gonna let you guys know all the other events!

[Minna no Anniversary] Second Survey about Goshi and Reminder Information of Events
Good day, members of Minna no Anime,
The former committee secretary who had been sacked has been sacked again.
As noted in the leaked previous email, the anniversary committee has a new survey that we would like members to fill out. It
asks questions about your meal preferences for Goshi as well as what movies club has shown in the past that you enjoy. Please fill
out this new survey here.
The committee has finalized where and when the party will be: Saturday February 6 from 10 AM to 10 PM in the Silo area, and Sunday
February 7 from 11:30 AM to 5 PM at Goshi until 2 PM and Fisher Science area from 3 to 5 PM.
We have also finalized some of the events that will be celebrated at the 25th Anniversary Party. As we get closer to the party, we
will release more information about the other events. Here's the first list of events that were announced in the previous email:
Cake
There will be cake. That is not a lie.
AMV Contest
The committee is bringing back AMV Contest from previous Halloween Parties. If you have an AMV that you'd
like to submit, please email anniversary@minnanoanime.org with your entry. Please make sure that it's less than 4 minutes and PG-13.
Minna no Anime Trivia
If you've ever wanted to make categories for anime trivia, Anniversary Party gives you that opportunity! Submit categories through
this link. Please note that if you submit more than one category, only one may get chosen depending on how many entries there are -
there will only be 20 categories playable at Anniversary Party. More rules can be found through that link.
Photos of Minna History
Have photos or videos you've taken of Minna in the past? Send the photos to the anniversary committee at anniversary@minnanoanime.org!
We will be making a special presentation with the photos we've received.
Karaoke
Karaoke is making a return from Halloween Party! The current list of songs can be found at this link. If there's a song you'd like to
sing at Anniversary Party that you don't see in the list, please email anniversary@minnanoanime.org with your song request.
Anniversary Movies
For Anniversary, there will be two movies: one on Saturday from 8 to 10PM, and on Sunday from 3 to 5 PM. We want to know what your
favorite movie that club has shown in the past. Please fill out this survey to let us know!
Sunday Goshi Lunch
Goshi is being very generous, and Sunday lunch will be at Goshi from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. We want to know how you would like to eat at Goshi:
all-you-can-eat kitchen and sushi buffet? Bento box meals with choices from veggie, chicken, beef, salmon or sushi? Or order your own
food? Let us know by filling out this survey, which also includes the movie survey.
Frequently Asked Questions
We have received questions and concerns from members of Minna throughout these past few weeks and would like to address them in this email:
Is February 6-7 the confirmed dates of the event?
Yes, 25th Anniversary Party is confirmed to be on the weekend of February 6-7.
Why is not a selectable choice on the second survey?
The list only contains movies that the Anniversary Committee knows that club has shown from 1991 to 2010, with the cutoff year being
2010 so that more recent members aren't potentially watching the same movies they've seen in club while attending Cal Poly; we are
planning to select what movies to watch from this survey. We also removed movies that would contain spoilers for what is currently airing in club.
I don't think I quite follow how the bento box and buffet options work.
The bento box options are your banquet-style lunch options. It is not 100% confirmed, but the tentative plan for the bento box is each
person selects their main dish (vegetable rolls, chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, or sushi), and then there will be a
bunch of side dishes that will come with it.
For the buffet option, it will be all-you-can-eat and a mix of Goshi's kitchen and sushi food items. In terms of differentiating
between the different priced buffet options, certain higher-priced items on Goshi's menu will not be served depending on how inexpensive
the buffet is. (An example for sushi fans: the usual tuna, salmon, yellowtail and albacore will be served for all buffet styles, but
uni or toro will not be available for the "Cheap Buffet".)
In any case, assume that any of the options for Goshi will be able to cater to your food needs, so there's no need to worry about
that. In a future email asking for the actual RSVP to Goshi, we will also ask about food allergies and such.
The lack of name on the email that went out made me unsure of what voice to read it in.
Imagine a kazoo, mixed with sleigh bells and bongo drums. That is the voice to read these emails in.
Is the dress blue and black or white and gold?
We traveled back in time to confirm that the dress is blue and black as well as white and gold.
I'm concerned about this rash on my arm. Should I go to the doctor's office?
We are not qualified doctors, so yes, please go to the doctor's office to get a real professional's opinion on the matter.
If you have any other questions, comments or concerns, please email anniversary@minnanoanime.org and we will get back to you promptly.
[Minna no Manga] Thursday la Thursday 12/3/15
TL;DR: Goshi money due Saturday, Goshi Dinner @ 7 PM on Sunday, Movie Night this Saturday, Manga still exists. T-shirt contest.
Greetings Everyone!
This Thursday, there will be blood. In your veins, presumably. Or maybe the blood is running through your clothing in order to power
it, or perhaps you've recently donated some blood to keep alive a small blonde vampire girl who's older than you are. The point is,
I know there'll be blood somewhere at the Minna no Manga meeting in room 10-115. At least from 6 PM - 10 PM.
Goshi Dinner is this Sunday at 7 PM, @ Goshi restaurant in downtown SLO (Shoutouts to Andrew Elliott for reminding me that you guys
might want to know when to show up). If you've signed up for the dinner and need a ride, feel free to talk to an officer and have us make
an announcement, or just ask around. IF YOU'RE GOING TO GOSHI, REMEMBER TO BRING MONEY TO CLUB TO PAY FOR YOUR FOOD! Money for the food is
due by the end of club Saturday, cash only please. All Goshi money goes to our treasurer, Eric Oatey, he of the cashbox. He'll be at club
Thursday as well if you want to be an awesome person and get your money in early.
This Saturday is our end-of-quarter Movie Night! Movie Nights are a once a quarter event where we shift shows around in our schedule in
order to make room for an after-Dinner-Break movie. This shifting includes the removal of the simulcast and putting Tiger & Bunny and
Evangelion prior to the dinner break, so be aware of the schedule! Movie Nights are a great time for those people who haven't been making
it every week to take a break from studying, kick back, and watch an anime film with like-minded people. This Saturday we'll be
watching "Time of Eve", a movie about a hidden café, acceptance, true friendship, and robots. It's a good ___ing movie so bring your
friends and loved ones!
Every year, Minna no Anime prints a new and different official club t-shirt, with a design created by one of the awesomely talented
artists from our club! "Why Curtis", I can hear you say, "I'm an awesomely talented artist. Can I be the one who designs the t-shirt
this year?" And to that I say "Maybe!". Introducing the 2015 - 2016 School Year Minna No Anime T-shirt Contest! Here're the rules:
You can use 4 of any colors on top of a T-shirt color chosen from this link.
Don't put copyrighted/licensed characters on it, because that's a no-no.
It should say "Minna" or "Minna no Anime" on it in Japanese and/or English.
Maximum dimensions are 12" x 15" and you'll be designing the back of the shirt.
Please send us an email @ minna-no-anime@minnanoanime.org with your design attached before January 30th, 2016 to be eligible for the
contest. PSDs preferred, but if you've escaped from the tyranny of proprietary Adobe products, feel free to send us the image in some
other common print quality image format instead. The Unofficial Minna no Anime wiki has examples of t-shirt winners past if that's
something you're interested in seeing.
SATURDAY SCHEDULE:
5:10 PM - Last Exile - 09

The Minna no Anime T-shirt contest is ongoing! I forgot to mention a couple of things about it in the last email that're pretty important,
so you should read this section if you're planning on participating, and anywhere there's a conflict in the rules between this email and
the last one, this email has precedence.
The way the contest will actually be decided once your lovely images are in is by anonymous vote of the current membership. If you are
the winning artist of this contest, you'll get a free t-shirt! We'll let you pick the size and everything, it'll be great.
Here're the (revised) design rules:

[Minna no Anniversary] Jan 4 2016 Donate to the Great Anniversary of Everyone's Anime
It seems that we meet again, Minna. We can never truly be apart, can we? For you see, it was fate that this email
arrived in your mailbox, and I see, in the future, several more of the anniversary emails to pleasantly pop in
there, too.
Of course, you might be asking, "Who is writing the emails?" Hmmmm... Is it me? You? That other secretary who
keeps trying to kick me out but I know the password to the email account and-
AH SHOOT NOW THE COMMITTEE WILL CHANGE THE PASSWORD
Oh well. It's not a big deal. I mean, they should be thanking me for writing this one! That other secretary has
been sitting on this email for like... a month? And been playing Xenoblade Chronicles X for at least 60 hours. Jeez
What a terrible secretary. I mean, I guess it was Winter Break, but that's no excuse!! Looks like I gotta step in
and save the day, right?
So without further ado, the point of this email: Here's how you can help out with the anniversary festivities!
Sacrifice your body to the Great Festival on February 6 and 7.
The committee's asking for volunteers to help set up stuff in the rooms on Saturday and Sunday. For Saturday,
they'll need people to help set up the Trivia/Eyes buttons and helping with the cake and other fun stuff. And for
Sunday, some "special things" will need to be set up before everyone gets to the lunch, so if you want a sneak
peek into what the committee has planned... email anniversary@minnanoanime.org with your intent to volunteer!
In the email, let them know what day(s) and the time range you'll be available.
Prize Donations!
Some of you expressed interest in donating prizes for the games and events at the party. If you're still up for it,
email anniversary@minnanoanime.org with this info, yo:
description of the prize
estimated monetary value of the prize
any other special things about the prize you wanna let the committee know
Also, you'll need to mail the prize to the committee. They'll need the prizes by January 27, so email the
anniversary account to find out what address to mail the goods to!
And finally, the monetary donation information.
Still wanna help out, but just want to pass on some money instead? We have a PayPal option available as well as
mailing a check or cash to the committee! Mike Whipp will be handling the moneys this year, so PayPal him up at
paypal@castlecagliostro.com, or email anniversary@minnanoanime.org to get the address to send a check or cash to.
The money will be used to get cool stuff for the anniversary, maybe an even cooler cake than what the committee's
got planned already... and y'all are gonna LOVE THE HECK OUTTA THAT CAKE!! If you have any requests about how
the committee will spend your money, let them know via email or the PayPal message thingy.
And that's that for helping out with the anniversary. Gotta head on out - I'm currently checking out the past years
of Minna with the time machine, and maaann there's some good stuff there. Like that Tsurugi dinner where some
people drank too much soy sauce... or that secretary that wrote an email with no pants on... or sequel power
hour.... Yeah. Gonna dig up some more good stuff.
Welcome back to school, students! And here's to a good 2016 year~ 🍻
[Minna No Manga] Where Manga Is 1/7/16
TL;DR: Manga in 10-225, T-Shirt Contest ends January 30th, vote for the simulcast.
Greetings Everyone!
Nice to talk to you all again, it's been awhile! I was going to do a bit this quarter where I had a time machine
and was writing to you from different times in the past but my time machine's been steadfastly refusing to work (I
think I need to replace some of the cardboard) so the bit's a no-go.
As it's the beginning of the quarter, Minna no Manga will be held in a different room! We're going to be holding
Manga this quarter every Thursday in room 10-225 from 6 PM - 10 PM. That's the same building Manga was in last
quarter! Our new room not only has a roof and walls, it has desks as well! Look forward to it.
There's less than a month left in the Minna no Anime T-Shirt Contest! The final day to turn in your design is
January 30th, so if you're planning on doing a design for that it'd be a good idea to get crackin' before school
sets in. Complete rules for the contest can be found here, nothing's changed since the last time I emailed
them out.
And as always... Vote for the simulcast! (It's been so long since I got to say that :D)
Cheers!

Warning, Personal Opinions Below
Man, Aniplex USA gives the best Christmas presents. This summer, in the writeup I wrote for Dragonball Z:
Resurrection F I wrote that if enough people went to see it in theatres that maybe Kizumonogatari might show up in
American theatres as well! At the time I was thinking "haha, like Kizu would ever come out of development hell,
FML." but now Aniplex is actually doing it! Kizumonogatari Part 1 is going to be in American Theatres starting in
February! I'm fully prepared to go on a road trip to the nearest theatre that's showing it. My only regret is that
it'll probably have poor signs... Anyways though, I'm looking forward to it. I'm currently ignoring a groupwork
partner in order to type this up, so I'd better go. I'll tell you more about how things are going next time! See
you later! ex oh ex oh ex oh
[Minna no Anime] Saturday of Saturdays 1/9/16
TL;DR: Saturday meeting is as usual, weekend parking enforcement still nonexistent, T-shirt contest is
ongoing, vote for the simulcast.
Hello!
It was good to see those of you that were at Manga yesterday, I forgot how much I missed hanging out with y'all.
I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone else at the Saturday meeting!
Minna no Anime will be held in "The Silo" (3-213) this week as per usual, from 5:10 PM - 10 PM. I pinky swear. Oh,
and in case anyone isn't fully up to date on the riveting drama that is the Cal Poly Parking Enforcement website,
parking will not be enforced on weekends this quarter. It's still totally okay to park in the metered spots outside
the Silo, the "0:00" of the parking meter blinking vainly.
There's less than a month left in the Minna no Anime T-Shirt Contest! The final day to turn in your design is
January 30th! That's only three days after the square you undoubtedly have marked on your calendar as
"Curtis' Birthday", and it's more than two days closer than it was a week ago! Complete rules for the contest
can be found here.
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!

RANT:
So at the beginning of the quarter this quarter, I had a full 16 units, with three of them being courses directly
related to my major. I decided that between the classes workload and me trying to work more this quarter I was
going to die, so I ended up dropping a class. I ended up dropping the one course that wasn't a major course,
Intro to Philosophy, which may not have been the wisest choice to drop, but it was the least interesting to me, so
w/e.
I watched Shirobako over the break, which I enjoyed immensely. It did a great job conveying all of the stress and
anxiety of working in the anime business, and I learned a lot too. The characters were all distinct and likable,
except for this one male production assistant guy, but all of the characters in-show had a problem with him as
well, so it was OK. The show used every bit of its two cours leaving no stone unturned as it examined the
production process, 10/10 would recommend to a friend, it's my new sixth favorite show. Anyways, I'm running
up on the mythical email character limit, I'll see you all lat
[Minna no Manga] Thursday 1/13/16
TL;DR: Manga in 53-206 (where we ended up last week), T-Shirt Contest on-going, Vote for the simulcast.
Greetings everyone!
Your friendly neighborhood MnA Secretary here, checking in before this Thursday's Manga meeting! We're going
to be in Science North, 53-206 this week. That's the same room as we were in last week! The one we ended up
in, not the one I erroneously pointed at in my email. We'll get back to Building 10 eventually, but this isn't the
week for it. Manga will be from 6 PM - 10 PM as per usual.
The Minna no Anime T-Shirt contest is ongoing! If you want your mad Photoshop skillz to be displayed on the
official Minna no Anime 2015-2016 t-shirt, there's no better way than to enter the contest! Complete rules for
the contest can be found here.

[Minna no Anniversary] Jan 15 2016 Swap Meet and Scavenger Hunt Announcement
Hello, Minna, how are you enjoying the new year?
Correction to the previous email: I have played only 40 hours of Xenoblade Chronicles X, not 60.
We would like to remind members that you can make categories for Anniversary's Anime Trivia at this link. We'd
also like to announce that Goshi will provide a buffet for us on Sunday February 7, but the price is still to be
determined.
Now, on to new event announcements!

Movies: Millennium Actress and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Swap Meet is returning for Minna's 25th Anniversary, and will run from 10AM to 12PM on Saturday, February 6,
in room 3-114. If you would like to be a seller, there is a limited number of tables to sign up for. You can pick
from:
a half table of about 3' x 2',

seller. You can make an account here, or if you've forgotten your password, you can retrieve it here.
Scavenger Hunt is also back for this anniversary! For those who have not participated in Minna's scavenger hunt
before, this is a bit different from the norm. Using this list of items, submit pictures that fit each item's
theme. For example, let's say one of the items to find was "an old man cat". I would take a picture of a
disgruntled cat, or perhaps put cat ears on my grandfather and take a picture of that. There are prizes for best
overall, best photo, and two for judge's choice. Please note that winning entries will be selected by the
Anniversary Committee.
Rules:
Your own photos only (no plagiarism!). You may work individually, in pairs or in groups.

Minna no Anime will be in the Fisher Science Building, (Building 33 Room 286) this Saturday, from 5pm - 10pm.

email, to ensure visibility.
MINNA NO ANIME WILL BE IN FISHER SCIENCE THIS WEEK!
We're getting increasingly close to the end of the T-Shirt Contest (January 30th). Remember to submit a design
if you're interested! The longer you wait, the more likely that you'll forget to make a design until it's too late.

obviously have to enter.

[Minna no Manga] Saving Private Thursday 1/20/16
TL;DR: Manga in 10-225, T-Shirt Contest and Scavenger Hunt deadline approaching, looking for webmaster,
Vote for the simulcast
Greetings Everyone,
Apologies for getting this out late. I had it all ready to go last night, completed the paper I was writing, and
fell asleep.
After two (2) weeks of being adrift, Minna no Manga will be in Building 10 once more! Specifically, 10-225, from
6pm- 10pm January 21st. 2016. I am inordinately proud of myself for not accidentally typing "2015"...
The Minna no Anime T-Shirt Contest is approaching its final days. In a little over a week, all of the entries
will be given to Minna at large for the purposes of voting. Currently. "all of the entries" stands at one entry. If
you're somebody who does digital art things, don't let that be the case. Submit a t-shirt design. Contest ends
January 30th, rules are here.
Also ongoing is the Minna no Anime 25th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt! Traditional scavenger hunts require you to
do things like pry license plates from the back of cars (or at least that's what Calvin and Hobbes taught me) but
Minna's is different. All you have to do is take a picture of something from this list and send it in! The fun part
is that the list requires creative interpretation. For example, the first thing on the list is "yaoi goggles". One
person might submit a photograph of a whole bunch of dudes posing in potentially suggestive ways, while another
person might papier-mâché together certain choice scenes from a manga they keep in their bottom dresser-drawer
into the shape of goggles and take a picture of that. Either one is valid! The winning entries will be selected by
the Anniversary Committee.
Rules:
Your own photos only (no plagiarism!). You may work individually, in pairs or in groups.
If submitting photos digitally, please resize your photos to no larger than 1600 x 1200 pixels (or 1200 x 1600
pixels).
Due date: January 30, 2016 at 10PM.
Non-email submissions should go to an officer at club by the due date.
Prize Categories:
Best Collection Overall - Criteria: Quantity (as many as you can or 30/30), and Execution (capturing the hunt
item's 'theme', creativity, composition, and very basic technical aspects )
Best Individual Photo - Criteria: Capturing the Theme, Creativity, and Quality (Technical and Composition)
Judge's Choice: Collection - Ex. comedic, artistic, dramatic, literal, or wacky
Judge's Choice: Individual Photo - Ex. comedic, artistic, dramatic, literal, or wacky
Accepted submissions: email anniversary@minnanoanime.org (Limit to 25mb attachments per email), printed
photos, digital photos burned to disc, or some sort of USB data storage device.
If you're potentially interested in becoming the Minna no Anime Webmaster for next school year, email our current
webmaster, Mouse, at webmaster@minnanoanime.org. If you're interested and willing to learn the technologies
that keep Minna running, send her an email!
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!
Cheers!

Welp, I need to improve my time management skills. I'm currently pressed up against multiple deadlines, and
today was the day that I chose to convert my computer over to Windows 10. Windows 10 is currently striking me
as a version of Windows 8 that knows I don't like tiles and already has a start menu. So pretty good so far. It
seems like Microsoft is planning on phasing out Control Panel, as there's this new way to adjust settings called
"Settings". It's really modern-looking and user-friendly, and it's scary to me. Luckily Control Panel still exists,
so I can still use the same unintuitive. clunky menus I've been using in one form or another since Windows XP. Oh,
and multi-monitor support is slightly worse, since now when I move a window from one monitor to another it thinks
that I might want to Aero Snap the window to take up half of one of the screens. Luckily, I discovered I can fix
this by moving my cursor fast. Either way, I should probably stop playing with window management and get back
to the paper I have due tomorrow so I can start working on code I have due tomorrow. TTYL!

we've announced so far:
Minna no Anime Eyes
All images for Anime Eyes at this Anniversary are from series club has shown! This is actually kind of difficult,
imo. Sign up for a round here!
MnA Game: Minna no Fighting Game
(The game name is a misnomer - this is not a fighting game, haha)
Using the Trivia/Eyes buttons, fight against Minna no Anime officers of the past and present! This is a 1-button
game where you fight with 11 other people defeating bosses - have fun! Sign up for a time here, and create your
avatar for the game here (required to participate): https://www.minnalumni.org/goofanader/avatar_creator.php If
you have any problems or questions, please email anniversary@minnanoanime.org.
Anime Trivia
Members can have their own categories be put in the game! If you have an idea (or more) for a category, please
submit one here: http://goo.gl/forms/WlyW2JfGpu You can sign up for either round here. If you've submitted a
category and the committee includes in it a board, we will honor what round you can participate in and put your
category in the other round.
AMV Contest
Send us your best AMV! Email anniversary@minnanoanime.org with your entry. Must be under 4 minutes and
PG-13 or less.
Officer Trivia Finals
Coming back from this year's Halloween Party, certain past officers of Minna no Anime challenge the current
officers with a crazy, anything goes Anime Trivia round! This will be the conclusion of this series... for now.
Video Game Room
Like in past Halloween Parties, bring your video game equipment and make this room lively! Play lots of games to
your heart's desire. Please bring your own power strips though - we will not be able to provide for these :( If
you've got old systems and games, see if you can bring those with you to go along with the time theme! Like, if
you've got a Super Famicom with the Sailor Moon fighting game on it, that would be really awesome!!!!! *drools a
little bit*
Do Stuff Room/Side Room
Need a break from everything that's going on? Wanna do some homework? Need a quiet place to chat? Then this is
the room for you! In the past, it's been used as a makeup room, break room, candy room... quite a few things,
actually. If you need a room, here is the room for you!
Dinner Break
There will be free pizza available: 2 slices per attendee. There will also be two cakes, one that's chocolate
and one that's white cake. Hopefully there should be enough, considering we bought two cakes!!
Awards Ceremony
There are 1st and 2nd place prizes available for Anime Trivia, Anime Eyes, AMV Contest and Scavenger Hunt. We'll
show off AMV Contest entries, which will be voted by popular vote, and we'll also show off scavenger hunt entries,
which will be voted by the committee. The prizes themselves are a secret, hehe~ BUT! They are definitely VERY
exclusive to this Anniversary. If you'd like to snag one, sign up for something or submit some stuff!
Movies: Millennium Actress and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
The times above are when they're starting, but they'll be ending before their designated end times.
And I'm out. Whew, this was a big email... And now, to reveal who wrote all these emails:
IT WAS ME, PHILLY!
I wrote as both secretaries. Thank you for putting up with my silly roleplay, I hope you enjoyed it as much as
I did.
AND NOW, TO THE FUTURE! OF THE ANNIVERSARY!!! *steps into the time machine, pulling goggles over eyes, a
big grin on her face*
Love,
Minna no Anime's 25th Anniversary Committee
[Minna no Manga] Designated T-Shirt Contest Work Time 1/28/16
TL;DR T-SHIRT CONTEST AND SCAVENGER HUNT END SATURDAY, Manga is as usual, We're still recruiting
for webmaster, Vote for the simulcast.
Greetings Everyone!
Minna no Manga is in 10-225 from 6 PM - 10 PM this week in the Agriculture Building. Luckily for the prospects of
avoiding mass migration of Minna-ers (Minna members? Minna?), it's the the same room we were in last week and
the week before! There's an official reservation on the room too, so we don't need to pretend to be members of
the Cal Poly Crochet and Badminton club or anything!
The deadline for the T-Shirt contest is right on top of us! If you've ever wanted a free t-shirt of your own
design, or just wanted to have your work in a contest (Contests are exciting, wow!) then you should enter! All
entries are due by the beginning of club this Saturday, January 30th! Contest rules can be found here!
The deadline for the Minna-no-Anniversary-Scavenger-Hunt-contest-amabob is, incidentally, also right on top of
us. If you've ever wanted to take a picture of a "spicy wolf" or a "slice of life" and get awarded for it, you're
rapidly running out of time. All entries are due by 10 PM this Saturday, January 30th! Incidentally, I do not
recommend trying to complete this between the start and end of clubt. That way lies madness. Contest rules can
be found here!
If you're interested in becoming Minna's webmaster for next year, email Mouse @ webmaster@minnanoanime.org
for more details. The Minna Officership could use an individual like you. Someone who reads the emails. You're
the best kind of person.
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!
Cheers!
Curtis Hilgenberg
RANT:
WOOOH 21st Birthday! I'm going to have fun getting drunk tonight! I mean, one gin and tonic that my parents sent
me through the post counts as getting drunk, right? And catching up on the mountains of classwork I'm behind
on counts as fun... right? Yeah. Of course it does, how silly of me. I should get back to having all that fun. Yay.
Woo hoo. Hopefully if I do this I can get my work done before Friday night so I can go out with friends. Welp, the
due date of my work is before Saturday so I'll get to see y'all then for sure. Just get all your work done. I know
I'm not the only one with a procrastination problem... See you on the other side of the due date!
[Minna No Anime] Belatedly Sent Saturday 1/30/16
TL;DR: Minna no Anime as per usual. T-Shirt Contest and Scavenger Hunt in final hours. Webmaster
applications still open. Vote for the simulcast!
Greetings Everyone!
Minna no Anime will be in "the Silo" 03-213 this Saturday from 5 PM - 10 PM tonight, as per usual. Events will
include watching anime (including the simulcast you vote for!), as well as a dinner break containing the
presentation of the entries for the T-Shirt Contest!
T-shirt contest entries are due at 5:10 PM Saturday as an attachment or link in an email sent to
minna-no-anime@minnanoanime.org. If you possessed of an internet connection that stubbornly refuses to
upload your (PSD formatted) entry, you can hand it to an officer on a USB key. But it's ever so much tidier if you
can email it. You get a t-shirt if your design gets chosen, so submit your design if that sounds pretty nifty! The
rules for the contest can be found here.
As for the T-Shirt Contest presentation for those of us that who have submitted entries, it'll consist of the
officers showing each design in turn up on the big screen in "The Silo" at the beginning of dinner break. The
artist of each entry will be invited to get up in front of someone and say a few words about their particular
design if they want to, so it might not be a bad idea to think of something to say about your entry. Voting on the
t-shirt contest will be done via the internet, we'll be sending out an email to all paid members with a link to the
voting some time next week.
The Scavenger Hunt for Minna no Anniversary is also ending Saturday, this one ending at 10 PM. Rules for the
contest are here. I'm looking forward to some entertaining pictures from this one!
Applications to the position of next year's official Minna no Anime Webmaster are still open! Message Mouse at
webmaster@minnanoanime.org for more details!

so take a look! To vote on the shirts, go to this link! Note that you must be a paid member in order to vote, and

[Minna no Manga] Mysterious Thursday X 2/4/16
TL;DR: Manga as usual, Anniverary Party this weekend (WOOH), T-shirt voting, Read the Anniversary
email, looking for webmaster.
Greetings Everyone!
Anniversary Party is this weekend *hype* but before that it's THURSDAY! Minna no Manga will once again be in
10-225 from 6 PM - 10 PM. If your criteria for hanging out with someone includes a love of Japanese cartoons,
it's statistically one of the better places and times to make and keep friends, so if that's something that
interests you you should come. We'll be there the whole time and not nip off an hour early to eat Taco Bell this
time, honest.
T-shirt Contest Voting is on-going! The voting system was out of whack for a few minutes after I sent the email
alerting y'all to the opening of the voting, but it's fully functional now for your voting pleasure (Thanks Mike!).
We've got eight excellent entries this year, so your votes matter more than ever! To vote on the shirts, go to this
link! Note that you must be a paid member in order to vote, and you need a Minna no Anime forum account. If
you're a paid member and don't yet have a forum account, you can get one here.
If you want your opinion to be counted for the t-shirt contest, you can always become a paid member! Talk to MnA
Treasurer Eric Oatey. Membership dues are $5 for the quarter or $10 for the year, and get you access not only to
t-shirt voting, but also a $5 T-shirt Discount, officer voting, and prize drawing eligibility.
If you're interested in becoming next year's MnA webmaster, shoot a message to Mouse at
webmaster@minnanoanime.org. We won't expect you to know the technologies we use right now, but we will
expect you to learn them.
I would say vote for the simulcast but since there's no real Minna no Anime this weekend ('cause of the Anniversary
meeting, I can't). so READ THE ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE EMAIL AND DO THEIR THINGS CAUSE FUN.
See y'all later,
Curtis Hilgenberg
Rant:
WARNING PERSONAL OPINIONS BELOW
Ya see, I was going to be on top of getting this out early and doing my homework in a reasonable amount of time,
but then I ended up reading an entire Discworld novel and then I got hooked on reading Mysterious Girlfriend X.
It's definitely a lot better in manga form than it was in anime, a lot of it revolves around this spit exchange
tradition this dude has with his GF, and the anime makes it really gratuitous. I think they were going for the
whole Nisemonogatari thing of "just because this isn't really a typical display of physical intimacy doesn't mean
it's not incredibly uh-'interesting' to the characters, so we're going to show off that intimacy with lovingly
directed camera angles", but they did a worse job of it. In the manga, it's a lot easier to ignore the somewhat
squicky nature of the gimmick and get to the feelings that the characters are getting out of them, so that's neat.
I'm looking forward to reading more of it, which I'll probably do between finishing this email and starting back up
work on my homework because I have little self-control. I'm going to get back to it, see y'all when I see you!

masterpiece.

TL;DR: New shows, Vote for T-shirts, Minna in the Silo, Vote for the simulcast!
Greetings Everyone!
Minna no Anime will be in room 03-213, "The Silo" this week, as per usual. I'm actually putting the room number
this time because this week we're starting two new shows this week. Noragami and Barakamon! If you missed the
first meeting and have been kicking yourself for it ever since, here's a good place to jump back on! Don't worry if
you aren't caught up on the other shows, there're people in the side room for just about every show to hang with
and talk about anime n' stuff.
This is the last email I'm going to be sending before the end of the t-shirt contest, so if you haven't voted for
that already you should do so! I'm talking to you, Curtis! *looks angrily at self* The contest is ending Saturday
@ 7 PM, right smack dab in the middle of club. If you're a paid member, you can vote at this link! Note that you'll
need a forum account to vote, which you can get here.
If you wish to become a paid member so you can vote for t-shirts and vote for officers and get a $5 t-shirt
discount and be eligible for prize drawings and most importantly support club, talk to MnA VP Justin Caballes at
this Saturday's meeting. Or maybe the President. Whoever is official looking and has a cash box to take your
membership fee. If you're in doubt and the house lights are up, just shout at someone standing in the front of the
room, they'll probably know.
If you're interested in becoming next year's MnA webmaster, shoot a message to Mouse at

RANT:
First of all, apologies to my roommate Kevin for typing this while he's napping. I have a mechanical keyboard for
my desktop and have no doubt his dreams are being plagued by clickety-clacks. I've been reading a lot of
Discworld, which is fun, but always reminds me that Death took Terry Pratchett (the author) from us, which is
saddening. I'd definitely highly recommend the books though, they're definitely the best comedic fantasy novels
I've ever read, and there's like 45 of them with several different protagonists, which is great. I'm particularly
fond of Sam Vimes and Moist Von Lipwig, but even as I type their names I'm being reminded of other protagonists
which I also like. Oh, my laptop got stolen since I last ranted, which is unfortunate, but as I am a comp sci
student, I have a new laptop on the way, which is nice. I'm going to see Deadpool tonight, which should hopefully
be good. It has Inara from Firefly in it and Ryan Reynolds in what he seems to think is the role of his life, so
fingers are crossed. I had several tests this week, one of which I did quite well on and the other two of which I
maybe probably did OK on. I Leagued some Legends (summoner name: StrollingFellow) as well which was fun, and
had an excellent discussion on the morality of a super power that allows you to find the path to victory over any
challenge you frame it. Overall, a good week. Anyways, gotta go get dinner with peeps, I'll talk to y'all later!
[Minna no Manga] Info-Dense Thursday 2/18/16
TL;DR: Manga as usual, Tiger & Bunny during Dinner Break, Officer Elections Applications open, T-shirt
winner announced, Vote for the simulcast.
Hey folks,
Everyone have a nice three day weekend? I know I did. Sorry for getting this email out late, my schedule has been
thrown out of wack by the weirdness. Due to the fact that I'm writing this roughly 24 hours after my optimal time
to be writing this email, it'll be lacking on prose and rich in content. And boy, there is a lot of it.
Minna no Manga will once again be in 10-225 from 6 - 10 pm. I heard there were new people there last time,
which is awesome. Hopefully y'all stick around.
Due to Minna no Technical Difficulties @ last week's Saturday meeting, we were unable to show Tiger & Bunny
Episode 14. This week, we'll be showing it during the latter half of our Dinner Break so as to keep with our
schedule. We've successfully retrieved the disc out of the blu-ray player, which makes doing so a whole lot more
possible.
We're opening up submissions for the Minna no Anime 2016-2017 Officership! If you want to be someone who is
all responsible and important and works behind the scenes to choose the shows for the year to keep Minna
running, look here for more details.
We're still getting stuff ready behind the scenes for T-shirt ordering. For those of you not present during the
dinner break @ last week's meeting, the t-shirt contest winner is Paul Guzman, with this wonderful design.
Shout-outs to Paul for his excellent design!
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!
See y'all later!

Hey all!
Seems like just yesterday that I was typing up an email with basically the same information as this one for
y'all...
Minna no Anime will be in "The Silo" this week from 5 pm - 10 pm as per usual. The only thing particularly unusual
about this week's meeting is that there's a special bonus (read: last week's) episode of Tiger and Bunny being
shown during dinner break, at 7:40 pm. Be sure to come back early if you want to stay caught up on the show!

Hey froods!
Minna no Manga is going to be in the same room as usual this Thursday, 10-225 from 6 pm - 10 pm, barring an
act of god. I've done my best to avoid pissing off Loki this week, so we should be fine!
Minna no Anime, on the other hand, will be in Fisher Science for the next two Saturdays. Building 33 Room 286
for those of you who forget.
We're open for statements of candidacy for the 2016-2017 Minna Officeship! If you want to be someone who is

it, or your money back. The deadline is March 12th, the 122nd anniversary of the first sold bottle of Coca-Cola.
T-shirt ordering is now open! Here's the link. Note that you need a forum account to buy a shirt. If you want a

Goshi Dinner signups open! Feb 28 2016
Heya folks!
Minna no Anime's quarterly end-of-the-quarter Goshi Dinner is coming up in just two weeks time, Sunday March
13 @ 7:00 PM! In order to give the good people over at Goshi Japanese Restaurant time to schedule shifts and
generally prepare for the arrival of a back room full of Minna people, we need orders from you by end of club this
Saturday! That's right, if you want to order some delicious Japanese cuisine to eat amongst fine company, you'll
need to order it by 10 PM on Saturday, March 5th. Signup link is here.
Payment is due to MnA treasurer Eric Oatey by Saturday, March 12. He's the guy with the cash box at any Minna
no Anime or Minna no Manga meeting. If you cannot make it to club during that time but still want to go to Goshi,
contact Eric @ treasurer@minnanoanime.org.
[Minna no Manga] Manga 3: The Search for Thursday 3/3/16
TL;DR: Manga as usual, Goshi Orders by Saturday, Anime in Fisher Science. Approaching Deadline on
Officer applications and T-shirts, Vote for the simulcast.
Yo!
This is an action-packed week over at Minna no Anime headquarters. I've got to make sure I tell you that Minna
no Anime will once again be in Fisher Science this Saturday. We're in Building 33 Room 286, from 5 pm - 10 pm,
just like last week. Minna no Manga will be where it was last week as well,10-225 from 6 pm - 10 pm. Well, it'll
actually be several thousand miles away from where it was last week due to the movement of the Earth, but in
order for society to function we ignore that fact in conversation. Only the extremely pedantic point it out.
*glares at self*
I've got to remember to remind you that if you're interested in going to our End-of-Quarter-Goshi-Dinner, that
orders are due here by end of club this Saturday, March 5th. That it'll have laughter and warmth and friends and
tasty Japanese cuisine. And that payment is due to MnA treasurer Eric Oatey by Saturday, March 12.
Also worth reminding you about are the other two March 12th deadlines, namely the Officer Elections Application,
and the T-shirt ordering for our ever-so-beautiful member-generated design. Being an officer is pretty nifty, and
all the cool cats wear the club t-shirts, so those are things you should look into.
Note that for both the Goshi's ordering and T-shirt ordering you'll need a MnA forum account, which you can get
here.
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!
Cheers!

Going to LA to watch Kizu was pretty fun. I went with our esteemed MnA president Isaac Cameron and former
MnA 25th Anniversary Committee member Evan "Jojo Evan" Kirkbride, who were good company and allowed me
to pressure them into going to Shin Sen Gumi for excellent ramen after the show. We unexpectedly saw Megan
there, who appeared mysteriously just in time for the movie and who I immediately lost track of post-film. The
movie was really good, I would write up all of my feelings but I agree with literally everything said in this
review by my favorite anime reviewer. typically found over at his blog WrongEverytime (I'd link it, but the more
links I have the more likely this email is to go to your spam filter. I also picked up a little Asada-san figure
(from SAO) and a Ayase (from oreimo). Ayase is currently undergoing a trial run of living on my keys, I think she's
staying, but I haven't gotten a funny look from having her on there yet. Other than that, I've just been
procrastinating a lot, and keeping my mental health up. Anyways, I'mma go play league with Elliott, catch you
guys later!

Hey all!
This Saturday, Minna is once again in Fisher Science! We're in Building 33 Room 286, from 5 pm - 10 pm, just like
last week. I'm pretty excited, actually. Finding the best seat in Fisher is a somewhat arbitrary and complicated
process, and it entertains me immensely.
Saturday, March 5th is the ordering deadline for the End-of-Quarter-Goshi-Dinner! If the eating of tasty
Japanese food with friends is something that interests you, you can sign up for it here. Payment for Goshi's is
due to MnA treasurer Eric Oatey by Saturday, March 12.
It's also worth reminding you about the other two March 12th deadlines, namely the Officer Elections Application
to be an officer for next year, and the T-shirt ordering.
Note that for both the Goshi's ordering and T-shirt ordering you'll need a MnA forum account, which you can get
here.

===[Minna no Manga] Thursday Before the (Deadline) Storm===
<pre>TL;DR: Manga as Usual, Officer Applications due soon, Order a T-shirt, Pay for Goshi, Apply for
Webmaster, Vote for the simulcast!
Hey all~
Included the "~" at the end of "Hey all~" because I always thought it made the preceding text extraordinarily
kawaii, but now that I'm looking at it I'm remembering that it's often used to sort of extend the last part of the
word, with "Hi~" being read like "Hiiiiiiiiiii" because the second way of writing it just looks like garbage. It's
making me picture now saying "Hey alllllllllllllll" to all of you guys and that sort of seems like I'm a bit tipsy,
which I'm not. But hey, some googling led me to realize that the "~" being used like I just used it originated from
Japan, so it's sorta relevant? Anyways: Minna no Manga is going to be in the same place that it was last
Thursday, namely 10-225 from 6 pm - 10 pm. There will be many people there, and most of them will have had
Taco Bell within the last month. Do a survey, I'm prophetic.
Goshi Dinner is Sunday March 13 @ 7:00 PM! If you haven't already signed up, you missed the boat. If you have
already signed up but haven't paid, please get money to MnA treasurer Eric Oatey by Saturday, March 12. He'll
be at both Anime and Manga this week, which is convenient. We don't currently accept debit or credit, so stop
by an ATM to grab cash money prior to a meeting!
This Saturday, March 12 @ 5 pm is also the deadline for the Minna no Officer Anime applications! Sorry, Minna no
Anime Officer applications! If you want to play a crucial role in choosing anime for next year, in running the
Halloween Party and Open House, or just in being a good hard-working senpai for the other club-members to
look up to the Minna no Officer Animeship is for you! More details for what you have to do to apply at the link,
but basically you'll be a) sending in an application at the link (The sooner the better to reduce our webmaster's
workload!), then b) getting up in front of people at dinner break this Saturday and telling them a bit about
yourself and why you're running. Your name will then be thrown into a poll with the names of all of the other
candidates, and all registered Minna no Anime club members will vote on who they want in the officership!
If you want to take the role of next year's enigmatic Minna no Anime webmaster (traditionally a superhero on the
side, remember WhippMan, Captain Goofanader and The Mouse?), shoot a message to
webmaster@minnanoanime.org indicating your interest. Some knowledge of computer technologies is a must,
as is a willingness to learn the technologies used by Minna (I think PHP and MySQL stuff mostly, I don't know all
the details due to not being the webmaster). Note that webmaster is a bequethed position due to the technical
nature of the job. We'll be starting the new webmaster at the same time as the new elected officers, so while I
don't know the exact deadline of this application, it's safe to say it's soon.
This Saturday, Match 12 @ 10pm is the deadline for ordering this year's Minna no Anime apparel! If you've ever
wanted a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or other type of t-shirt advertising your involvement in the 2015-2016 Minna no
Anime year, now is the time to strike! T-shirts (and all the rest) can be ordered here. Note that you need a forum
account to order, which you can get here. We discovered this week that having an ampersand in your forum
username will render you unable to use the ordering system, so if you're in the habit of using special (non
alphanumeric) characters in your usernames, don't do that when signing up for the forum. Actually, doing it in
general probably isn't a great idea. If nothing else, some sites will accept them and others won't, and you'll end
up with multiple variations of the same username, so when you're trying to sign on to your
DefibrillateMeThroughMyIphoneBecauseIAmHavingAHeartAttack.com account and every second counts it might
cost you your life. Food for thought.
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!
I double-checked the voting link this time, honest.

[Minna no Anime] WINTER MOVIE ACADEMIA 3/12/16
TL;DR: Movie Night, Minna back in Silo Officer Applications due, Order a T-shirt, Pay for Goshi, Apply for
Webmaster, Vote for the simulcast!
Greetings Everyone!
This Saturday Minna no Anime is back in action, returning triumphantly to "The Silo", room 03-213. It's also the
last Minna meeting of the quarter, and you know what that means: It's time for the traditional end-of-quarter
Minna no Anime Movie Night! Movie Nights are a once quarterly event where we end our usual anime-watching
early in order to make room for a very special anime movie! This Saturday, we've got a really easy schedule
change for y'all. The first half of the schedule, before dinner break? Exactly as usual. Everything after?
Different and AWESOME!
For this week's movie night, we've got a multi-part event lined up for you guys. Firstly we've going to be showing
the specials for everyone's favorite pre-dinner 13 episode comedic show we aired this year, Monthly Girl's
Nozaki-kun! We've chained together the shorts originally released as extras on the Japanese blu-rays into 19
minutes of additional Nozaki, never before seen (by me). Afterwards we'll be showing the excellent Studio Trigger
anime short Little Witch Academia, followed closely by its (longer) sequel, Little Witch Academia 2! Together, LWA
and LWA clock in at an additional 80 minutes of prestine anime time.
This is the perfect time to come to club if you haven't been able to make it this quarter. Take a break from
studying and come and watch anime with a group of like-minded individuals. Little Witch Academia is about as
close to a Disney-created anime feature as you'll get out of Japan, and requires no background to watch, perfect
for introducing someone to Japanese Language animation or for taking a break from watching Attack on Tokyo
Narutogatari. Invite a friend who you want to start pressuring into watching anime, or that person who you don't
know very well that you know watches anime. It's literally buckets of fun.
Goshi Dinner is Sunday March 13 @ 7:00 PM, at Goshi Japanese Restaurant in Downtown SLO! If you haven't
already signed up, you missed the boat. If you have already signed up but haven't paid, please get money to MnA
treasurer Eric Oatey by this Saturday, March 12. We don't currently accept debit or credit, so stop by an ATM to
grab cash money prior to a meeting!

Hey folks!
Just got a quick email for y'all today. Sorry for the brevity, I woke up at 3am and it's now 11pm so my ability to
write clever introductory text is about as small as a very small thing right now.
Minna no Manga will not be happening this Thursday due to Caesar Chavez Day. Manga will come back again next
week, April 7th, and will be more powerful than you can possibly imagine. Minna no Anime will be starting up again
this Saturday, at the usual time and place (5:10 PM @ 03-213 "The Silo").

I were a cruel god secretary I'd put in an April Fool's joke. After getting repeatedly frustrated by an internet
full of things that seem interesting but are actually fake for an entire day, however, I'm going to make this email
a sanctuary from that sort of thing. Drink a cup of green tea in a gazebo whilst soft music plays. You're safe
here.
For those of you who enjoy helping out club and/or making delicious onigiri to sell to random strangers, Open

[Minna no Manga] First Manga of the Quarter 4/7/16
TL;DR: Manga in 10-231, (Re) Vote for Officer Elections and the Simulcast, T-shirts coming soon.
Hey folks!
Just got back from like a 4 hour walking-around-the-neighborhood-and-talking-on-the-phone-to-someone expedition,
and realized that I needed to lay down some sweet, fresh, mass-email goodness on y'all.
First of all: Manga. Our room for Manga this quarter is 10-231, which is in the agriculture building. That's the
same building Manga is typically in, the one that is part and parcel with the English building. If you enjoy
talking to people about anime and manga, or enjoy sitting in the corner and being in the general vicinity of people
that are talking about anime and manga, you should come! There's also a not insubstantial amount of board-
game playing that's
going on. Overall, pretty cool / 10, you should come. We don't bite <3.
Also going on is the redo of next year's Minna no Anime Officer Voting. If you have not yet voted in the new round
of voting you should do so, voting closes this Saturday @ 7pm, so do it sooooon. I know I still need to. Voting
link is here.
T-Shirt Update: T-Shirts are almost here. If all goes according to plan, we should have them in the next two or
three days. Hopefully will have some good news for you by the time the next email rolls around, but no guarantees,
since the world of T-shirt shipping is a strange and magical place.
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!

What to Wear and Bring
If you're gonna hang out at our booth in any way, show off your anime pride with cosplay! Don't have cosplay to
wear? Fear not: wear a Minna shirt, or if you're out of those, just put on a regular ol' anime shirt! Fine small

TL;DR: No Anime meeting on Saturday, Volunteer for Open House, Manga in 10-231, Onigiri-making @ Manga.
Hey folks!
Open House is this weekend! That means a few things. First of all, it means that there will not be anime club on
Saturday! Not that the timing for the two would overlap much, per se, but pretty much the entirety of the
officership is going to be waking up at like 5am to do stuff @ our booth from 6am to 3pm, and then another
couple hours for teardown. To attempt to then run club for several hours would be madness. MADNESS!
At said booth we will be making Onigiri, which are Japanese-style rice balls! Very tasty. Also at the booth is an
opportunity for you guys to be incredibly generous and awesome and get "free" food in the process. That's right,
we once again have volunteer opportunities! If you're planning at showing up to our booth (location pending), and
lending a hand, you should sign up here! For every two hours you volunteer, you get TWO onigiri and a Coca-Cola
brand soda ABSOLUTELY FREE! More detailed info on what precisely volunteering entails (written by next year's
secretary Phyllis Douglas), can be found here.
In order to prepare for this endeavor, we'll be having a special event at this Thursday's Manga: Onigiri Practice!
We'll have the fixins together to make every onigiri on our menu, so you can practice your culinary abilities in
the safe, nurturing environment of Minna no Manga (from 6 PM - 10 PM in 10-231 as usual). It's pretty nifty. Also,
you get to keep the onigiri you make, so free food HYPE!
Open House Menu:
Plain Onigiri (typically includes salt)
Cucumber and Avocado Onigiri
Tuna and Mayo Onigiri
See you Thursday!

Minna no Anime Secretary (Lame Duck)
PS: If you haven't yet picked up your t-shirt, we'll have the box @ Manga!
[Minna no Anime] Open House Booth at Ag Bldg. Parking Lot and More
YO, MINNA! In this email, we're talkin' about...
Open House Location: C24, C25, C28 in the parking lot between the Ag building and Math building (see map)
Next Year's Officers
T-Shirts Are Here: Pick them up at any Thursday or Saturday meeting. NOTE: We will NOT have shirts at Open House.
Open House Location
We know where we're located this year for Open House now! If you look at this map, we are in Zone C, that parking
lot between the Ag building and the Math building, right by one of the entrances to the Ag building. For some
reason, the Open House committee gave us weird booth spaces so they're not all in a row, but never fear! We
officers have come up with a plan to combat the mess, and all will be hunkydory tomorrow.
New Officers for 2016-2017
Welcome our new officers for next year!!!
President: Isaac Cameron
Vice President: Brian Kroger
Treasurer: Curtis Hilgenberg
Secretary: Phyllis Douglas ("Why are you still here, Phyllis. What are you doing." "Gotta be every position. Gotta
collect them all.")
Librarian: Mouse
Webmaster: Hannah Wilkins
Club Artist: Emily Mullins
Congratulations officers, and good luck!
2016 T-Shirts Have Arrived
Did you pre-order 2016's T-shirt?? Well, they are here! Talk to any one of the officers listed above or from this
current year at a Thursday or Saturday meeting, and they'll be able to give you your shirt(s). Please note that we
will not have the shirts at Open House tomorrow.
If you didn't pre-order a shirt, we have smalls through larges available for people to buy: $15 if you're a paid
member, $20 if you're not. Hand that sweet, sweet cash to Eric Oatey (the current treasurer) and he will trade
you a shirt.
And that's that, members! Hope to see you at Open House. GET READY FOR SOME ONIGIRIIIIIIII!!!!!! I'm so excited. I
love food so much. I love rice stuffed with foods so much. And there's all those other booths, too. Like, this is
my dream... to be surrounded by food booths... where they ask for your money and you give them money and you
get food in return.......... Open House should be everyday, amirite

[Minna no Manga] Back to Basics 4/21/16
TL;DR: Manga in 10-231, Pick up your T-shirt, Vote for the simulcast
Hey Folks!
Glad to see a bunch of you out at Open House! We got some names on a sheet from people who are interested in
doing that anime club thing next year, so that's good. Also we sold some (delicious) onigiri. Thanks to everyone
who volunteered!
Manga club is this Thursday, 4/21/16 in 10-231. That's the usual room, in the Agriculture building that secretly,
on its other side, is an English building. There'll be people hanging out there, it's pretty sweet. Board games and
socializing and manga, oh my!
Also at Manga club this week, we'll have the t-shirt box! If you ordered this year's t-shirt you can pick it up
there. We also have a number of them available to purchase on-site, $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
And, I think that's actually it. Wow. I'm so used to having roughly 600K things to talk about in an email that this
seems short by comparison. So uh, I guess I'll see you guys at Manga!
Oh, and Vote for the simulcast!
Cheers!

[Minna no Anime] MS Paint Saturday 4/23/16
TL;DR: Anime in the Silo, Pick up your T-shirt, Vote for the simulcast.
Hey folks!
I'm re-writing this intro at 3:47 AM this morning because I signed up to do the signs for the club today since our
artist is out of town and I'm really excited about it. So don't blame her for the mess of an idea that I'm
currently cranking out that's shaping up to look like something a ten-year-old would create in MS Paint.
Minna no Anime is in its normal place this week, 03-213 from 5 PM to 10 PM. We'll be watching the same anime as
per usual, plus the ever changing simulcast. Voting link is in the TL;DR. Schedule as usual is below.
Also at Anime club, we'll have the t-shirt box! If you ordered this year's t-shirt you can pick it up there. We
also have a number of them available to purchase on-site, $15 for members and $20 for non-members. I have no idea
how many people haven't picked up their t-shirt, but since I haven't picked up mine yet, I know that it's non-zero.
Plus, when you pick up your t-shirt, it means it's lighter to carry, always a plus!
And as always... Vote for the simulcast!

Rant
Aaanndd that's pretty much it for this email. I was contemplating leaving a "subliminal message" of Goshi next to
the Dinner Break entry in the schedule above, but I'd be very impressed if you could go to Goshi and come back in
an hour to catch Noragami. Like, wow. Hit me up with your restaurant tips, dawg.
Also, I really need to stop talking about Goshi in every email I write. Though, to be fair, I'm thinking about
Goshi about a quarter of my time each day. "But Phyllis, what about the animes?" Well, you see, other Phyllis, I
think about anime about a quarter of my time each day as well. But it fuels my thinking about Goshi since Japanese
food tends to be in the anime I watch. And thus, it becomes an endless cycle of anime and Goshi in my head as I
sink deeper into Japanese food despair, gnawing at the air, imagining a delicious jelly donut onigiri sticking to
my hands, rice bits all over my face, and the tiny sourness of pickled plum tickling my tongue... Ah! What
torturous imagery! I simply must stop what I'm doing and go to Goshi! But they are not open right now. They closed
orders at 9:50PM. I have to impatiently wait for the clock to strike 11:30AM, which is about 11-12 hours away. I
could watch anime, but the Japanese food will be drawn in a foodgasmic way, and my mind will wander to that
favored Japanese restaurant of mine... Goshi.
Welcome to Japanese food despair,
Phyllis Douglas

[Minna no Manga] Cinco de Manga 5/5/16
TL;DR Goshi sign-ups start within 2 weeks, shirts available, vote for simulcast
The torch has been passed on, and I'll be taking over the weekly and event emails for Curtis until the end of this
quarter. I hope I'll be able to live up to his emails!
Happy early Cinco de Mayo! Spend a good time with friends at tomorrow's Minna no Manga in room 10-231 from
6-10 PM. I hope there'll be some Mexican food specials at Campus Market to celebrate the holiday, like tacos.
Mmm tacos. I should really stop talking about food all the time in my emails. But... delicious tacos stuffed to the
brim with cheesy cheese, seasoned beef, and refreshing salsa... How could you say no?
Goshi Dinner Sign-ups Coming Soon
Speaking of food, our quarterly Goshi trip is coming up on June 5th, 7 PM! We have 30 spots available, so keep
your fingers ready to order when sign-ups open within two weeks. Our elegant online system allows you to order
Goshi's Japanese food to your heart's content, such as tamago nigiri, eel and shrimp tempura roll, yakiniku-don,
tanuki udon, and many more things! Please note that you will need to pay for whatever you sign up for with cash
by the June 4th Saturday meeting.
T-Shirts: They Are Still Here
We still have shirts available to buy! If you missed out on pre-ordering shirts for this year, the shirt box will
be at Minna no Manga tomorrow. It's $15 for paid members and $20 for non-members. See an officer at the
meeting to buy one!
And that's a wrap, kinda like a taco. Want more tacos? Here's a video about an anime girl that loves tacos. Also,
here's the link to vote for the simulcast - Uta no Prince-sama ep. 2, anyone?
Nacho it up,

Rant (in the Style of a Theatre Script)
Spotlight on center stage, focused on a wooden table with two chairs that are on opposite sides of the table. This
is the only light onstage. Phyllis sits on the chair that is on stage left, making the Gendo pose. The spotlight
should make sure the glasses are shining so brightly that most audience members just see shine instead of eyes.
Phyllis: I've been struggling to think of a way to talk about anime in these emails. Do I do anime reviews of
episodes I've recently seen? Do I write a dissertation on what it truly means to be a tsundere with examples from
Toradora!, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Oreimo? Do I gloat about how much anime I've watched and expose you all
to very obscure anime that is of various quality? (Pause.) Or, you know, I could take the easy road and just talk
about talking about anime. As I am currently doing, heh.
(Phyllis gets up from the chair and moves to down center stage. She starts pacing. A spotlight follows her
movements.)
Phyllis: Letting your opinion known about anime can bring about heated arguments or much agreement, depending
on who you are talking to. I'm not sure if I'd feel comfortable talking about my opinions on anime in these emails
since I tend to believe that most of the anime I like is "mediocre or bad anime", even if I genuinely like it. A
very confusing kind of opinion, no? You would think that if I like something, I would place it on a golden pedestal
where nothing can bring it down! I shall not have a negative opinion about it!
(Phyllis stops pacing, pauses a moment, and sits in the other chair. She leans back in the chair, hands crossed
over on her stomach.)
Phyllis: Unfortunately, I over-analyze things. I need to see things from all different angles and opinions, see
what's appealing about a thing and what's not, what worked and what didn't. When you start analyzing a show to
that point, its flaws start to appear and the golden pedestal crumbles.
(Phyllis slams the table suddenly.)
Phyllis: BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANNOT LIKE IT!
(Phyllis jumps out of the chair and runs to down center stage, facing the audience. A new spotlight shines in this
spot. Her arms are spread wide.)
Phyllis: LIKE WHAT YOU LIKE! BE WHO YOU WANT TO BE! There will always be faults in things, and there will
always be beauty in things. But do not use these to try and reason with your feelings! If your heart enjoys the
thing, then follow your heart. If your heart dissuades you to even bear witness to it, then shy away. There is no
shame in that!
(Pause. Phyllis casually brings out sunglasses from her breast pocket and puts them on.)
Phyllis: Remember: anime is serious business. Know where your opinion stands and know what others will argue
about. Bring your A-game to the table, not your B-game! Fight for your love but understand that others will also
fight just as hard for theirs!
(Phyllis starts walking towards offstage left.)
Phyllis: This is the world we live in, an anime world. Opinions are the real beasts out there. We have to tame them
and make them ours.
(Phyllis pauses right near the exit of the stage and whips her head around.)
Phyllis: This is how we anime. (Phyllis exits.)

[Minna no Manga] Uncharted Thursday 5/19/2016
TL;DR suggest anime for next year, shows ending, discussion room in 3-113 Saturday, no meeting 5/28, Goshi
sign ups, vote for simulcast
This Thursday, club members will meet up in room 10-231 from 6-10 PM, discussing the niceties of anime, games,
and homework. Perhaps a round of Sentinels of the Multiverse will be used to show how card games can be
designed for cooperative play rather than competitive, or maybe Space Pirate Luluco will be viewed on the projector
screen to help the argument that anime shorts are not to be trifled with. Who knows, a debate about which anime
to watch for Simulcast of the Week may erupt in the middle of the classroom! In any case, fun, light-hearted
discourse awaits those who join club at its Minna no Manga meeting this week.
Recommend Some Anime to the Officers
Have some anime that you'd like club to show one day? Suggest away! Fill out this form with your anime suggestions,
and next year's officers will take them into consideration. We are closing the form Saturday May 21st at 2 PM.
Shows Ending this Saturday, May 21st
Everything must come to an end, and that includes our Minna no Anime show schedule. The following shows will
end at this Saturday's meeting on May 21st:
Haikyuu!!
Barakamon
Noragami (two episodes shown back-to-back)
Discussion Room in 3-113 this Saturday, May 21st
Alas, discussion room will be moved to 3-113 just for the Saturday May 21st meeting. Discussion room will meet
back in room 3-114 on June 4th.
No Meeting Saturday May 28th
We are getting closer to the days of Fanime, and for that Saturday, May 28th, club will not have an official
meeting due to a good portion of members and officers attending Fanime. However, if you want to watch some
anime with club members in SLO, Future VP Brian will be running the show. Talk to him at a meeting for more
information!
Spring Goshi Dinner: An Evening with Fellows

Rant
Uncharted 4 came out on Tuesday last week. I kinda forgot until my friend was like, "oh mah gawdddd phyllis this
is so goood", and then I was like, "oh mah gawwwdd I need to buy iiiit" but my HDD hard drive was making clicky
sounds so I bought an SSD to replace it but you only get free shipping for 2 days on Amazon if you're a Prime
member, you know? So, like, I couldn't play Uncharted 4 until Thursday 'cause I bought the SSD on Tuesday, and then
I had to figure out how to make a backup and remove the HDD from the PS4 without bricking my PS4 'cause I break
electronics real easy. But like. Anyway.
SO WORTH.
You guys, this game is just... incredible. The graphics are amazing, the animation is amazing, the characters are
amazing, the story is ama- okaythestoryisallright BUT LIKE!!! It's so worth the $60 I put down for it. Having
played the previous three games, it's really cool to see the protagonist Nathan Drake really have character depth
and see how far he has come. He struggles with his marriage and his love for adventure, acts aloof but in reality
he knows that he's messing up, and he's just as witty and funny as in all the previous games. Oh! And we're hunting
for 400 million dollars worth of pirate treasure, which is hidden behind many elaborate temple trials and traps.
I'M JUST IN LOVE WITH ALL THIS????!!!!!
I'm about a little over halfway through the game if the bonus content is anything to go by, so I really hope the
ending will be just as crazy as the other games. Hoo boy, if you ever get the chance to watch a Let's Play for the
series or play them yourself, get on that boyeeee
On the search for vast sums of pirate monies,

Rant
There's a certain anime convention convening next week called Fanime (or FanimeCon, if you wanna be official).
I'm staffing it this year as Second of Webteam. It's pretty coo'. My name is plastered on a lot of posts, nbd. I
feel like I'm really making a change for the con, you know?
But of course, being one of the public faces of Fanime means I have to be the bearer of bad news, like how Art
Gallery is canceled this year. (Please note: Artist Alley is still open!!) Man, that was not fun to post,
considering there were a lot of people wanting to enter it.
But hey, what can I do? I'm just the messenger. I just relay what I'm told to the internet. Pretty chill, tbh.
"Get to the point of your rant, Phyllis"
...
"...Do you not have a point"
...I may have wrote this to add more "anime" to my rants considering we're an anime club, 'cause otherwise I'd be
talking about that cat dating sim I bought...
"Oh."
Yeah.
"Well."
Hmm.
"..."
...I could talk about how I watched a few episodes of Seraph of the End???
"Oh! That's a good one, let's go with that."
I watched the first two episodes of Seraph since I missed out on that show when it was airing that season. Anime-
Planet has it tagged "Horror", so I was all like, "OH YEAH GOTTA WATCH THIS!!"
It's not a horror.
The first episode is actually kind of scary in like a psychological way?? The background art was super gorgeous,
and the animation was well done. I liked the characters well enough. And then episode two happened and... I
realized pretty quickly it was a shonen. The first episode really doesn't show that; it's almost like a horror
in that first episode.
I mean, I'm okay with shonens and stuff, but I kinda wanted?? Something scary???? And not about beating up
vampires, I dunno *shrug*
"...Okay, that wasn't as good as I thought. Just talk about the cat dating sim. I can see you making faces at me
that say, 'I want to write about the cat dating sim'."
YESSSSS
SO LIKE OMG, I BOUGHT THIS VISUAL NOVEL CALLED "HUSTLE CAT" AND YOU DATE TALKING CATS IN THAT
GAME
DO YOU GUYS
UNDERSTAND
HOW MUCH
I LOVE CATS
AND DATING CATS*??
ONE OF THE CATS IS INTERNET-FAMOUS, AND I DATED HER!!!! HER NAME IS JELLY DONUT AND SHE BALANCES
A JELLY DONUT ON HER HEAD AND SHE'S SO CUTE
AND YOU WORK IN A CAT CAFE, SO THERE'S CATS EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME, AND MY HEART CAN'T HANDLE
HOW CUTE IT IS!!
IT'S EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WANTED!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE!! CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loving cats a little too much,
Phyllis Douglas

*Note: The cats are actually humans who have been cursed to be cats outside of the cat cafe. You kind of date
cats in this game. But all the humans are really hot, so I'm okay with it

10 PM. Games! Anime! Talking! It's all here at... Minna no Manga.
No Official Meeting Saturday May 28th
You might have to fear Fanime a little bit because Minna no Anime will not officially meet on Saturday due to

will lead a meeting on Saturday from 5-10 PM. A future email will go out with a bit more details about what he's
got planned!

Sunday, June 5th at 7PM. Need a car ride? Ask around in club or leave a message in our Facebook group!
Movie Night's Movie: "Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners"
The spring quarter movie has been chosen, and on June 4th at 8:05 PM, Minna no Anime will show Kara no Kyoukai:
The Garden of Sinners, movies 1 & 2! It's a series of seven films, and club will show the first two movies in the
line-up. Created by the people behind the Fate series and animated by ufotable, expect exhilarating action, magic,
and interesting characters in this beautiful, dangerous saga!
Please note that Saturday's meeting schedule will be different from the usual due to shows ending.
Rant
Re:ZERO is a currently-airing anime in Japan right now. It's pretty good in my opinion 'cause it hits all the
things that I really like: a fantasy world, demihumans, scary things, poor life choices, time travel, and... a cat.
Specifically, a flying talking cat.
A FLYING TALKING CAT THAT CAN CHANGE HIS SIZE FROM NORMAL CAT SIZE TO HUMAN SIZE!!!
His name is Puck, and he and the protagonist Subaru play off each other so well. Omg, they're just so funny to
watch!! Aah, I can't even describe how much I enjoy them just kinda horsing around and making jokes, and then
Emilia laughs at it or she gets mad and it's... just... REALLY GOOD CHARACTER INTERACTIONS IN RE:ZERO!!!
Oh and like Puck is a magical spirit creature, so he and Emilia made a contract so that she can use his powers. But
like a business person, he only works 9 to 5. AH THAT'S SO CUTE~~
Also also Puck uses ice magic to attack, and even though he's so tiny, HE'S SO GOOD AT IT!!! Best cat ever.
...Okay. That was a joke. Nyanko-sensei is still the best cat ever. Puck isn't old enough to hit old man cat
tier... yet.
Puck is nyanderful,

[Minna no Anime] Unofficial Saturday Meeting in the Silo 5/28
Hey all,
This is Brian, your future and forever (not really) vice president.
For all you "time conservative" peeps: Saturday meeting Silo from 5-10 pm, Non-Fanime-goers give suggestions
(Link in email), Chicken people hate tires
So this email is to all you people who will not be going to Fanime. I don't care for the reason: lack of money,
time, chicken people slashing your tires, etc. But if you are going to be here, we (Eric and I) will be throwing an
unofficial
Saturday meeting!!
So during this meeting, it will be your guys' suggestion for a solid 5 hours, with breaks like usual. However to do
this, I need suggestions or I become dictator of anime and show all my shows. So in order to save me from power
you should come to club with suggestions or put them on this sheet:

(make suggestions that are not breaking the rules (no crazy ecchi, porn, and if it is on Crunchyroll or some other
legal fashion, that would be great))
Also this meeting will take place in the Silo in the business building as usual from 5-10 pm
If you are going to Fanime and have read this entire email, you are a silly goose, have fun at Fanime.

[Minna no Manga] ThursdayCon 6/2/2016
TL;DR movie night showing Kara no Kyoukai: Garden of Sinners 1&2, Goshi dinner (check order here), summer minna
room 3-112
Hello Minna, how was your Memorial Day Weekend? Went to a party? Traveled to Fanime? Buckled down and finished
some homework? Or did you count the days on your fingers to the last meeting of Minna no Manga this year? It's sad
but true: our last social meeting for Spring Quarter will be tomorrow, 6/2, from 6 to 10 PM in room 10-231. Bring
your best games to make a lasting impression on this year's Minna no Anime!
Movie Night, Kara no Kyoukai: Garden of Sinners 1 and 2
Just like how we're having a last Manga meeting, so too goes the Saturday meeting. On June 4th, club will have its
last Saturday meeting and show the final episodes of Last Exile, Tiger & Bunny, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
After dinner break, club will present Kara no Kyoukai: Garden of Sinners movies 1 and 2 starting at 8:05 PM.
Goshi Dinner: June 5, 7PM
The day after movie night, club's quarterly Goshi dinner occurs! If you signed up, please join us at Goshi for
dinner that night. We'll walk to Doc Bernstein's Ice Cream afterwards! If you have not yet paid, please pay the
treasurer Eric your order amount before June 4th, 10 PM. If you don't know how much you owe, please check this link.
Summer Minna: Saturdays Room 3-112 5-10 PM, Starting June 25th
With things ending, it leaves room for new beginnings! Summer Minna will start meeting June 25th at 5PM and will
meet thereafter each Saturday from 5-10 PM in room 3-112. The last summer meeting will be on September 17. We'll
also have a discussion room available in room 3-104. Unlike the yearly Minna no Anime meetings, Minna no Summer
is a bring-your-own-anime setup, and members in attendance pick what to watch that meeting. If you're in SLO any
time during the summer, be sure to drop by!
Rant
I bought some stuff at Fanime. You know how you forget to bring stuff on trips? Well, I forgot to bring a jacket
with me to Fanime. :\ So, I was all like, "I'll just get one at con," and that's what I did. I got a sweatshirt of
a corgi waving his butt at you.
It's baby purple and cute and I love it.
I've also been meaning to get a hair clip for my hair ever since I got my dramatic haircut. My bangs are so long,
I can do the anime one-eye-look, but really, it's not practical. So, I bought a hair clip at Fanime's Artist Alley.
It has a mushroom floating above it.
It's poison red and spotted and I love it.
My friend and I went to Clockwork Alchemy and wowee-zowee, all the artists there are so good at their craft! One
artist makes robot figurines out of wood, and he had a few small ones that were mystery box type. I bought one
'cause I love robots as much as I love old men talking cats. I got a tiny robot.
It's small and square and I love it.
I stayed at the Westin: Sainte Claire this year, and hoo boy, that's one heck of a nice hotel. There was a Samsung
50"-ish TV, and it showed off my PS4's graphics soooo well. Oh man, it was so fun to play Uncharted 4 and Digimon
Story on it. Though I may have splurged on the hotel a bit...
It's very expensive and gorgeous and I love it.
My wallet doesn't.

[Minna no Anime] The Last Saturday 6/4/2016
TL;DR LAST MEETING OF THE YEAR!, Goshi 7PM on Sunday, Summer Minna room 3-112 on 6/25 5-10PM
It's here. It's happening. Tomorrow in room 3-213, we will convene for the last meeting of Minna no Anime 2015-2016.
Tears!! Everflowing tears of sadness! I... I must make it through this! I must fulfill my duty as secretary and
write down what is happening at this last meeting. But!!! THE STRUGGLE IS REAL! TO KNOW THAT IT IS THE END OF
AN ERA... BUUUHHHHUHHUHUHUU
Here is the schedule for our last meeting!!!!
Please note that we're skipping Simulcast of the Week to make room for the movies. Also note that there will be
two episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion to finish off the series. Lastly, the schedule is very different than usual,

It's Goshi Time
As a form of farewell, let's eat at Goshi! This Sunday at 7PM, meet up at Goshi if you had signed up for the dinner
in the previous weeks. If you haven't already, remember to pay Eric the treasurer the amount you owe in cash before
June 4th, 10PM. Don't remember how much you got? You can see your cost here. If you need a ride, officers will
set up a ride list at the meeting tomorrow, or you can message the Facebook group!
A Summer Full of Minna
Club may be coming to a close for this school year, but if you want a jump-start on next year, Minna no Anime meets
during the summer! It follows the same number of hours, 5-10PM on Saturdays, but instead of a set anime lineup
to follow, attending members bring their own anime and choose what to watch from that instead. The first meeting
will be on June 25th in room 3-112, and the discussion room will be located in 3-104. The last meeting will be
September 17th, and then we'll come back for 2016-2017 on Saturday, September 24!
Rant: So Long, Farewell, and Good Luck
It's been a pleasure writing some of the emails for this school year. I feel like we've all come to know me much
better as a person. ...Maybe a little too close. If you ever see me at club, you know what you can talk to me about:
old men talking cats.
Here's an end message from Curtis, the secretary of 2015-2016 Minna no Anime:
Hey all! Thanks for putting up with me for much of the year, and for reading what I wrote. Being secretary is a
stressful job with a lot of deadlines, and it really helped me feel better when members would talk to me about
something in the email or even just give me flak about how late I put it out on a given day. It meant people were
paying at least some degree of attention, and that made all the difference. For those of you who read the rants,
apologies for not doing more of them. When I took the job, I was fired up and ready to stand on a soapbox and tell
everyone my opinions on everything. I am like that, to a degree, but the summer I spent prior to taking up the job
cooled that roaring fire to a glowing ember. I still enjoy discussing my opinions, but I'm more inclined to only go
in depth into those that are relevant to a discussion, rather than shouting all of them to everyone. Thus rants
became scarcer. I simply didn't have anything I really felt the need to talk about to the mailing list at large. That
being said, if anyone here plays Overwatch on PC, and you're looking for people to play with, add WalkinDude#1296.
I hope to see some of y'all at Summer Minna, and into the next year.
And with that, mata rainen, tomodachi!
