Heyo y’all! I’m Kavana Gonur/Kvon (they/them). I’m a fourth-year Biological Sciences major concentrating in Molecular and Cellular Biology and minoring in Ethics, Public Policy, Science, and Technology (EPPST). I also come from the Sacramento area.

I’ve been addicted to anime since sixth grade when the first two manga of Shugo Chara screwed me for life. My favorite genre has always been magical girl (mahou shoujo), but I also like fantasy, action, adventure, mystery, and thriller, although I’m open to just about anything. (Be warned though, I’m not a mainstream person… for better or worse.) My favorites in anime tend to fluctuate so I don’t have any specific favorites, but if you want to know which anime I’ve seen and liked, check out my MAL. I also like RWBY (along with Ava) and I also have a soft spot for some American cartoons as well.

Aside from being an anime nerd and dying in class, you can find me involved in research (Dr. Keeling’s lab), participating in queer activism (through oSTEM), hiking (Plants Peaks and Pals), creating digital art (I - ahem, try to - make a new profile picture every month), and playing online board games (I’m a moderator for the Gender-Inclusive Gaming club). I’m also quite active on Discord (Kvon#3333) so feel free to send me a friend request or a ping whenever.
